Mandy Moore And Zachary Levi Cast As Leads In Disney’s “Rapunzel Unbraided”

Disney has selected Mandy Moore to voice the lead role in a new Digital 3D-animated musical inspired by the Brothers Grimm fairy tale Rapunzel, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Disney’s Rapunzel Unbraided picks up several years after the princess with 70 feet of golden hair has been stolen from her parents’ castle as an infant and imprisoned. Now a teenager, Rapunzel escapes her Ivory Tower and goes on the run with a bandit as they are pursued by her captors.

Disney has also cast ‘Chuck’ star Zachary Levi to play lead alongside Moore. The film is scheduled for a Holiday 2010 release.
