Simon Cowell Leaving 'American Idol' Next Year 2010

Simon Cowell is planning to step down as judge of American Idol next year.
Simon, who also judges Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor, flies between America and the UK four times a week during the A.I. season. He also heads a record label and television production firm. Now the media mogul has revealed that he may have to leave his post at Idol once his contract expires in 2010 in a bid to relieve himself from his exhausting workload.
“I don’t want to come over as whiney because I am very grateful that I have got these jobs. But there is a point where I am not sure we can keep this schedule up. It takes longer and longer to make these shows because you have to put more into them, and I am not sure we can sustain me doing three shows…” Simon told reporters for the Daily Express last week.
“Most people do one show a year and I do three and they involve a lot of travelling. One may have to go. I don’t know which one. That is the problem, I like all of them. I can’t imagine not doing ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and I can’t imagine not doing ‘X Factor.’ But I guess America is more likely to go because I have got one year under contract. Maybe that will be the end,” he added.

Simon Cowell Doesn't Get Twitter!

Simon Cowell doesn’t understand the fascination with the latest social networking sensation sweeping the web.
The American Idol judge says he’s baffled by the sudden popularity of Twitter.com.
“It’s like phoning someone randomly, who’s number you don’t have, and talking to them. ‘Hi, it’s Simon, I went out with my family this weekend’,” he said.
After being read a Twitter message from Idol host Ryan Seacrest, which said “spent weekend with my fam,” he replied: “What’s sad is that he’s having to use the Twitter language like he’s 17. ‘My fam’ – how difficult is it to add on an ‘ily’?”

Paula Abdul Speaking Out Again, Against 4th Idol Judge Kara DioGuardi's Addition

Paula Abdul isn’t happy about the addition of fourth judge Kara DioGuardi to American Idol this season.
It’s nothing personal, she says, just business. Paula believes an extra person disrupts the long-established flow of the show.
“Kara and I have known each other for years and we get along great,” Paula reveals March 9 issue of OK! Magazine. “But we tried four judges before and it doesn’t work,” she explained, referring to NYC radio personality Angie Martinez, who joined Idol as a judge in the second season but quit the show during auditions.
“It takes up so much time for each of us to give our opinion that it slows down the pace of the show,” Paula laments.
The “Forever Your Girl” star is cryptic when quizzed about her future on America’s highest-rated TV series.
“It is the last season of my contract, and I have so many other things I want to do.”
I can’t imagine Paula leaving Idol. I mean seriously what will she focus on? Choreography and her Jewelry line? Her Bravo show rightfully bombed! I think the only thing that would keep her from coming back is if Fox didn’t bring a substantial raise to the table- in that case it would hurt her ego so badly she would most likely back out!

Simon Cowell Hopes To Be Resurrected In The Future

Simon Cowell is planning to do the world an “invaluable service” by having his body frozen after his demise. The acid-tongued music mogul hopes he can be brought back to life in the future to torment aspiring singers to more heavy-handed criticism.
At a private dinner hosted by Britain’s Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Simon told guests that he plans to have his body preserved in liquid nitrogen.
“I have decided to freeze myself when I die. You know, cryonics. You pay a lot of money and you get stuck in a deep freeze once you’ve been declared dead. Medical science is bound to work out a way of bringing us back to life in the next century or so, and I want to be available when they do. I would be doing the nation an invaluable service.”

Simon Cowell Discovers Sophisticated Tracking Device Under His Car.

British television and music mogul Simon Cowell was “completely freaked out” after discovering a sophisticated tracking device attached to the undercarriage of his Bentley Continental last week.
Simon’s security team found the bug after the American Idol judge noticed that a mysterious biker kept following him to private meetings.
“His security team found this tracking device under the car. It was quite sophisticated and could have been used by the security services.”
“Simon is completely freaked out by this. He can’t believe someone has gone to so much trouble and expense to monitor his every movement. It’s extremely sinister,” an insider tells Britain’s Daily Mail.
“He was aware that someone, dressed in motorbike leathers and a crash helmet, kept turning up a few minutes after he went every-where. He couldn’t work out how that person knew his movements.”
“Simon has his suspicions as to who is responsible. He is so angry he is considering calling in the police to investigate further.”
That’s got to ruffle your feathers a bit- I wonder how long it was on there before it was found… scary stuff!

Simon Cowell Is Back On The Market.

According to PEOPLE Simon Cowell is no longer in a relationship with Terri Seymour- word is Terri broke it off with Simon because of her desire to have a family- Thats gotta be tough to be in love with someone and to know they are never going to give you everything you want, I’m sure it was a very difficult decision for her to make-to walk away.
Simon Cowell and longtime girlfriend Terri Seymour have split, Cowell’s rep confirms to PEOPLE.
“Terri phoned Simon and finished it in September, about six weeks ago,” says Cowell’s rep, Max Clifford. “They are going to remain close friends. Simon thinks the world of Terri and that isn’t going to change. He also understands her reason for ending it.”
The couple were together for six years. Seymour, 34, first met Cowell, 48, when she was 18, but the couple didn’t begin dating until she interviewed him for a show in 2002.
“In the past Terri has said that she wants kids but that just isn’t Simon,” added Clifford. “Nobody else is involved, certainly not on Simon’s side.”
The split was first reported by the UK’s Daily Mirror.

Paula is less than thrilled about this announcement, understandably so… what can i mean for her to have another woman join the table?!?!?
