Scarlett Johansson And Liev Schreiber Starring In Broadway’s, ‘A View From The Bridge’

Scarlett Johansson will make her Broadway debut opposite Liev Schreiber in a revival of playwright Arthur Miller’s stage drama “A View from the Bridge,” show producers announced on Monday.
ScarJo, 24, will appear on the Great White Way in the drama set in 1950’s America about a Brooklyn dockyard worker obsessed with his 17-year-old niece, played by Johansson.
Preview December 28 and the show is expected to run for 14 weeks.
Other high-profile film actor’s appearing on Broadway this year include Jude law, Hugh Jackman, Daniel Craig, Sienna Miller, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

How Does Scarlett Maintain Her Privacy: “By not talking about my personal life!” the Iron Man 2 star, 24, reveals in the new issue of Glamour Magazine, on newsstands October 6. “I think that makes a big difference. I go to work, I make movies, I publicize them. I hope people enjoy them. I’m not a relationship expert. I’m not a diet and health expert. I don’t know anything except for movies, other than some Trivial Pursuit kind of information.”
On Sept. 27, Scarlett celebrated her first wedding anniversary with actor hubby Ryan Reynolds, who she married in a secret ceremony in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Scarlett On Marriage: “…It is weird, because I would never ask somebody about their marriage if I didn’t know them. I don’t profess to know anything about marriage that anybody else doesn’t know, or how to make it right. I don’t want to read about somebody who’s giving me relationship advice. So I try to keep some things for myself, to have a private life. Because that’s kind of all you have, really, isn’t it?” she continued. “When it comes down to what separates you from the next person. You don’t go to work and talk about your marriage. Why should I?”
Earlier this year, the normally private star took an uncharacteristic stand against the media’s obsession with body image in an essay for The Huffington Post, where she lashed out at reports suggesting she had undergone a miracle diet to get in shape for her role as The Black Widow in Iron Man.
Scarlett On Weight & Body Image: “I hate seeing these ridiculous articles where [tabloids] guess someone’s weight. But they approach it as fact! I’m sick of it as a woman — not just as a person on the other side of it. As a reader. I got fed up,” she revealed. “I don’t feel the obligation to be a specific weight. I don’t feel like I have to fit into a body that’s not my body. I have the body I have and I try to maintain it.”

Scarlett Johansson Competing Against Keira Knightley For Lead Role In “My Fair Lady” Remake

Keira Knightley will compete with Scarlett Johansson for the role of Eliza Doolittle in a remake of the 1964 film My Fair Lady.
Last year, the Pirates of the Caribbean star auditioned for the role originally portrayed by sixties sweetheart Audrey Hepburn, and even began singing lessons in hopes of playing the Cockney florist. But it looks like Keira will have some competition from the Lost In Translation actress, according to Sir Cameron Mackintosh — who is producing the remake.
“I have two actresses as potential Elizas, one British, the other American. You’d know their names, but I’m not letting on,” Mackintosh told The Telegraph over the weekend.

Gwyneth Paltrow Upset She Has Been Left Off 'Iron Man 2' Posters

Gwyneth Paltrow is brushing off reports that she was left fuming after movie producers replaced her with Scarlett Johansson on posters for their upcoming superhero sequel Iron Man 2.
Mickey Rourke and Johansson, both newcomers to the franchise, are featured standing next to series star Robert Downey Jr. in publicity shots released last week, Gwyneth, on the other hand, is absent from the photos.
The actress, who plays Iron Man’s assistant Pepper Potts in the film, was said to be furious after learning the promotional posters feature images of Scarlett as The Black Widow.
A source tells The Sun: “Gwyneth was afraid she’d be upstaged by Scarlett and not being in the campaign was the final straw. She is furious she’s been left out.”
But a spokesperson for the Oscar-winning actress has dismissed the reports: “She was not at all upset.”

Scarlett, 24, helmed a segment for the upcoming movie New York, I Love You, a series of intertwined love stories shot by entertainers like Brett Ratner and Natalie Portman.
But unfortunately for the newlywed actress, her segment, starring Kevin Bacon and shot in black and white, ended up in the scrap heap after being deemed “unwatchable.”

Vanity Fair's 'Worlds Most Beautiful Women': Angelina Jolie, Gisele Bundchen, Beyonce, Kate Moss, Scarlett Johansson

Vanity Fair has compiled a reader-produced list of the World’s Most Beautiful Women.
According to the fashion-forward style mag, 58 percent of respondents voted that mother of six Angelina Jolie is the Most Beautiful Woman in the World. Newlywed supermodel Gisele Bundchen came in a distant second, earning just nine percent of the vote.
British-born model Kate Moss, R&B songstress Beyonce, actress Cate Blanchett, and Iron Man 2 star Scarlett Johansson rounded out the Top 5.
“Of the billions of women on this planet, only 19, we believe, could start wars,” Vanity Fair editors said on its website. “These modern-day Helens of Troy come from both hemispheres and include legends and ingenues, a Queen (Rania of Jordan) and a first Lady (Carla Bruni of France), and at least two bedmates of Leonardo DiCaprio (Bundchen and Bar Refaeli).”

Scarlett Johansson Adopts Gwyneth Paltrow's Exercise Regiment

Scarlett Johansson has adopted a new diet and exercise plan with the help of fellow actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
The Lost In Translation star–well known for her curvaceous figure–has lost over 14lbs since she began working out with her Iron Man 2 co-star in preparation for the movie.
A friend tells Star Magazine: “The pair have been doing daily workouts with Gwyneth’s personal trainer Tracy Anderson. Scarlett is also staying away from carbohydrates.”
At just 24, Scarlett has reportedly decided to slim down over fears that she could lose out on movie roles to younger, more attractive actresses.
“Scarlett has always been happy with her curves, but recently she has been feeling pressure to lose a few pounds,” according to the tabloid spy. “She knows that she is up against tough competition from younger, prettier and increasingly skinner actresses.”
Well this explains the current photos of Scarlett looking way slimmed down- even though she didn’t need to shed any poundage to begin with. Let’s hope she keeps it healthy!

Scarlett Johansson is every bit the bombshell in a new campaign for liquor manufacturer Moët & Chandon.
The Hollywood actress looks amazing in a series of smouldering images for the champagne house, who named her the first ever celebrity ambassador for the champagne house. Renowned photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott shot Scarlett’s steamy ads.
Scarlett says she is excited about her new partnership with the brand: “I am honored to have been chosen as their ambassador and to make history with the brand, as the first celebrity face of champagne.”
Frédéric Cumenal, chairman of Moët, says Scarlett was the “obvious choice’ to be the company’s celebrity ambassador.”
“‘She, like Moët, has a magical story to tell and makes people dream….She is a true icon of celebration – refreshingly spontaneous, generous, glamorous and she lives life to the fullest both on-screen and off.”
Once they threw the word Icon out there I was shocked that Paris Hilton didn’t score this groundbreaking campaign ad- I mean she is ‘The Icon Of Our Generation’- right?!?

Scarlett Johansson Upset With Husband Ryan Reynolds Over Motorcycles

Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson have reached their first impasse as a married couple. The newlyweds, who were married six months, are rumored to be at war over Ryan’s refusal to quit living high on his hog.
The actor narrowly escaped serious injury when he nearly crashed his beloved motorcycle earlier this month, and his 24-year-old wife thinks the experience should have been enough to convince Ryan to park his bikes–permanently.
An insider squeals to The National Enquirer: “Ryan had to think fast and swerve at the last second to avoid a car making an illegal turn…Ryan thinks he’s invincible because he’s been riding so long and has never had a catastrophic accident…”
The 32-year-old star is a long-time biking enthusiast, who once bragged in an interview: “There are two kinds of riders-those who have gone down, and those who are going to go down. I’ve already gone down a few times.”
The Enquirer spy adds that Scarlett is “petrified a serious accident is just around the corner. When she asked Ryan to give up motorcycling, he flat out refused. And that led to a pretty heavy argument.”
So far, no amount of nagging from ScarJo has been successful in getting her hubby to find a less nerve-wrecking hobby. In fact, Ryan is planning a summer riding trip through Alaska on his newest toy, a Paul Smart Ducati bike.
“….Scarlett is angry that he won’t heed her advice. It has ballooned into a major issue.”
I seriously doubt this is the type of issue that would lead towards divorce or anything of that nature. I understand Scarlett’s fears, they are very valid. I would be a wreck if I knew a loved one was riding a motorcycle. That’s because I view them as very dangerous!! There is no way I would let my husband own one of those!
