SJP NYC Fragrence www.hometownhollywood.com Sarah Jessica Parker

Sarah Jessica Parker is adding a scent inspired by her Sex And The City alter ego to her collection of Coty fragrances.

The Carrie Bradshaw fragrance will be “party in a bottle,” the actress told Women’s Wear Daily on Friday. The SJP NYC scent, which hits shelves at major department stores in February, will reportedly have notes of Italian mandarin, white osmanthus and wild red strawberries. The fragrance will be accompanied by cosmetics bags, bangles, and a reversible tote bag.

“A large part of the inspiration was what I now understand to be people’s impressions of seeing Carrie Bradshaw walk down the street and what feelings that evokes for her and for them — a real sense of freedom and possibilities, a love for the city around her and, of course, fashion.”

In-store appearances and promotions tied to the May 2010 box office premiere of Sex And The City 2 are planned.

Kristin Davis Originally Auditioned For Carrie Bradshaw Role In “Sex And The City”

kristen Davis sac2 www.hometownhollywood.com

Kristin Davis initially tried out for the part of Carrie Bradshaw before landing the role of straight-laced Uptown Girl Charlotte York on Sex And The City.

The 44-year-old has played Charlotte on the hit HBO series as well as in its two subsequent movie incarnations since 1998.

Davis met Sex creator Darren Star in 1995 when she played the devious Brooke Armstrong for one season on Melrose Place, where he was executive producer. A couple of years later, Star invited her to audition for the role of the sex columnist, Kristin claims. She said that the original role of Carrie – eventually portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker – was “very different” from the one viewers saw.

Kristin tells The Age: “Honestly, none of the four of us are so jaded that we take it for granted. It is amazing that we still get to work together. We are sitting around the same table and chairs as we were in 1997. It still feels right.”

Sex And The City 2
opens in theaters in May 2010.

Miley Cyrus Sex & THe City www.hometownhollywood.com Cameo

Miley Cyrus will make a cameo appearance in the Summer 2010 blockbuster Sex and The City 2, studio sources have confirmed.

On Friday, GossipCop.com cited spies who claim that Miley will appear in a scene with Kim Cattrall, who plays slutty PR exec Samantha Jones in the franchise.

In the scene, Mario Cantone, who stars as Anthony, quips: “Mother of God! She is wearing the same dress as Hannah Montana,” to Samantha when she steps out in the same outfit as Miley.

In 2008, then 15-year-old Miley revealed that she was a “big fan” of the R-rated TV series, which stars Kim, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis as a group of devoted friends living in New York City. At the time, Miley was being linked to a teen version of the popular franchise that would follow sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw as a young adult.

“I would like to be able to have that show because I feel like so many girls do watch that show and I feel like there should be one that is a little more kind of like, censored and age-appropriate,”
Miley said last year.

bravo-new programming www.hometownhollywood.com 2009-2010

Bravo green lit several new shows almost all geared around fashion for next year. The Hollywood Reporter has the details:

Bravo announced series pickups for a quartet of new reality shows and several projects in development at its upfront Tuesday, most with a heavy emphasis on fashion and design.

The series orders include Sarah Jessica Parker’s competition series, “American Artist”; “Design Sixx,” about a husband-and-wife real estate makeover team; “Kell on Earth,” about a fashion publicist; and “Launch My Line,” in which 10 fashion designers pair with famous names to launch a clothing line.

The most important name attached to this series list is perhaps not Parker, but the ever-capable “American Artist” production company Magical Elves, which formerly produced the network’s hit “Project Runway.” With “Artist,” the producers have a chance to work their Elven magic on another artist-driven competition new series for the network (”Kell on Earth” is also produced by the Elves).

Bravo also unveiled several projects in development, including “Eric B.” (working title), about a celebrity florist, “Jackie’s Gym Takeover,” with “Work Out” star Warner revamping gyms, “Laura Bennett” (working title), a doc series about the fashion designer, “Secret Life of Supermodels,” which goes behind the scenes of the fashion industry, and “Social Heights,” about a group of Manhattan social climbers.

Sarah Jessica Parker & Matthew Broderick Oscars 2009 Red Carpet

Always one to wow the crowd with her fabulous fashion sense, Sarah Jessica Parker looked stunning tonight (February 22) as she arrived on the red carpet at this year’s Academy Awards in Los Angeles.

The “Sex and the City” beauty was joined by her husband, Matthew Broderick, and the two looked to be having a marvelous time as they sauntered down the carpet, chatting and smiling along the way.

I have to admit I was more than a little surprised to see these two together amidst all the divorce gossip- Either they are trying to stomp that chatter out or we’ve had it wrong all along…
