Robin Williams Recovering From Heart Surgery!

Robin Williams is recovering at the Cleveland Clinic after undergoing successful heart surgery, his publicists said Monday.

The 57-year-old actor had an operation to replace an aortic valve on March 13, publicists Mara Buxbaum and Chris Kanarick said.

“His heart is strong and he will have normal heart function in the coming weeks with no limitations on what he’ll be able to do,” said Dr. A. Marc Gillinov, a cardiothoracic surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic. “A couple of hours after surgery, he was entertaining the medical team and making us all laugh.”

Robin was forced to cancel his multi-city,sold-out, one-man show “Weapons of Self-Destruction,” after experiencing shortness of breath in Florida last month. He is expected to make a complete recovery in the next eight weeks.

And showing off his signature comic relief, Robin himself has also taken the time to thank his fans for their continued support.

“I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and dedication while I was in their care,” he said in a statement. “I must also thank all the people who have expressed their love and concern for me. I have been deeply touched by their support.”

“I got some great new material for the tour and can’t wait to get back on the road,” he said. “I’m thinking the next leg of the tour will be ‘Weapons of Self-Destruction and Reconstruction’!”

Robin Williams Heart Surgery!

Robin Williams will undergo surgery for an aortic valve replacement after being admitted to a south Florida hospital suffering from shortness of breath earlier this week.

The 57-year-old Oscar-winning comedian has cancelled all performances of his 80-city one-man show, Weapons of Self-Destruction, which was set to open on Broadway in the spring, his reps announced Thursday.

The tour is expected to resume in the Fall. Previously purchased tickets
will be honored once the new dates are scheduled. Ticket holders are also entitled to refunds.

“I’m so touched by everyone’s support and well wishes,” Williams said in a statement. “This tour has been amazing fun and I can’t wait to get back out on the road after a little tune-up.”

Heart surgery is a very big deal! I wish Williams a healthy and speedy recovery! Just two years ago, Williams’ elder brother, vintner Robert Todd Williams, died of complications from heart surgery at age 69.

no word on when the surgery will take place- I’m assuming within the next day or two!

Britney Spears People's Choice Awards Nomination.

Britney Spears has been nominated for a People’s Choice Award for her guest appearance as “Abby The Receptionist” on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother earlier this year.

The 26-year-old pop star will go toe to toe with Luke Perry and Robin WIlliams, both up for their guest roles on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, in the category of Favorite Scene-Stealing Star.

Queen Latifah will host the viewer-voted awards show, to air live January 7 from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Dyslexia is a learning disability that can often be devastating if untreated. People who suffer from dyslexia primarily have trouble with written language, both reading and writing. Despite having this affliction, many people overcome it to lead normal and successful lives. We’ve compiled a list of 70 well known people who suffered (or were thought to suffer) from dyslexia, some of whom will definitely surprise you. On to the list:

The trained hypnotist, vegetarian and creator of the comic strip “Dilbert” noticed his dyslexia when he worked as a bank teller and couldn’t get his totals to balance at the end of the day.
