Glamour Magazine hails triumphant pop tart Rihanna as one of their 2009 Women of the Year — more than eight months after the singer’s highly publicized domestic fallout with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

“My friends and family have been extremely supportive, and everyone has been there for me,” the Rated R star tells the mag, on newsstands Nov. 10. “But at some point you are there alone. It’s a lonely place to be—no one can understand.”

In the wake of the February assault, Rihanna said one of the toughest things to cope with was the leak of the shocking photo of her beaten and bruised being leaked to the public — the singer calls the leak of the pic “humiliating.”

“It was humiliating; that is not a photo you would show to anybody,” she tells Glamour. “I felt completely taken advantage of. I felt like people were making it into a fun topic on the Internet, and it’s my life. I was disappointed, especially when I found out the photo was [supposedly leaked by] two women.”

What Rihanna Has Learned After Her Brush With Domestic Violence? “I’m stronger, wiser and more aware. You don’t realize how much your decisions affect people you don’t even know, like fans,” Rihanna says.

Rihanna On Finding Love: “I hope I find love in the next 10 years – that will be pretty annoying if I am 31 and still have never been in love! But yeah, I’d like to be in a great place in both my personal life and my career. I still want to be doing what I love. Whatever that is in 10 years, I don’t know.”

Rihanna On Domestic Violence: “Domestic violence is a big secret. No kid goes around and lets people know their parents fight. Teenage girls can’t tell their parents that their boyfriend beat them up. You don’t dare let your neighbor know that you fight. It’s one of the things we [women] will hide, because it’s embarrassing,” Rihanna explains. “My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard. Now I can help speak for those women.”

Rihanna is now releasing a new album, Rated R, Nov. 23 and says she put “everything I’ve wanted to say for the past eight months into my music.” She will give her first TV interview since the Chris Brown attack on ABC’s Good Morning America this Thursday.

sawyer rihanna interview www.hometownhollywood.com glamour

Rihanna is speaking out for the first time since being assaulted by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in a Grammy night attack last February. In a poignant interview with Glamour’s December issue, Rihanna, a Glamour 2009 Woman of the Year recipitent, talks about how she coped after the brawl with Brown that garnered international headlines.

“I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears,” the “Russian Roulette” singer recalls in the interview, on newsstands Nov. 10. “That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn’t heard.”

Rihanna will be honored — alongside literary legend Maya Angelou and comedian Amy Poehler — at the annual Glamour Women of the Year event in New York City on Monday, Nov. 9.

In an interview with Diane Sawyer due to be aired on ABC’s Good Morning America this Thursday and Friday, the Barbadian-born singer says Chris Brown was “definitely my first big love.”

“This happened to me … it can happen to anyone,” she told Sawyer according to a statement from ABC.

Chris and Rihanna were among the fastest rising R&B artists in the country before the assault, which led to Chris losing several commercial sponsorships and being slapped with five years of probation.

Glee is getting into the groove with Madonna’s catalog! Madonna has given the smash FOX musical comedy the rights to her entire catalog of music and producers are planning an entire episode
dedicated to The Queen of Pop’s hits.

I sure hope they’ll do “Lucky Star.” I love that jam — nothing beats ’80s-era Madonna.

On Wednesday, Dianna Agron, who plays scheming pregnant cheerleader Quinn Fabray on the series, told the Los Angeles Times that she will be singing one of Madge’s classic jams on an episode airing later this year.

“There’s a Madonna song coming up in episode 10…You get this news that you’re gonna sing all these songs that you grew up listening to and it’s amazing!”

Glee has already featured the hits of some of the biggest stars in music today, including Rihanna, Amy Winehouse, and Kanye West.

Justin Timberlake is accused of hooking up with Rihanna behind girlfriend Jessica Biel’s back.

The singer, who teamed up with the “Umbrella” hitmaker on her third album, Good Girl Gone Bad may soon dump Jessica, The Daily Telegraph reported Wednesday.

“Justin and Rihanna have been seeing each other for the past few weeks,”
whispers a spy. “He is really into her and it’s only a matter of time before he dumps Jessica.”

The pair are also alleged to be the subject of a recent New York Daily News blind item about a female star giving a male singer a “private” lapdance.

“That blind item about which two pop stars made sweet music together, the girl giving the guy a lapdance is Rihanna and JT!” the insider adds. “It was at 10ak in NYC and they left together. They are seeing each other on the low!”

For shame JT!

Kanye West jay Leno apology www.hometownhollywood.com 2009

Kanye West publicly apologized for his behavior at Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards during an interview with Jay Leno on Monday night’s premiere episode of The Jay Leno Show on NBC.

While he was originally set to serve as just a musical guest – performing with Jay-Z and Rihanna — Kanye spoke to Jay for several minutes before taking the stage to talk about storming the VMA stage and upstaging Best Female Music Video winner Taylor Swift during the 19-year-old’s acceptance speech.

“It’s been extremely difficult, just dealing with the fact that I hurt [someone] or took anything away… from a talented artist, or from anyone because I only wanted to help people,” Kanye told Jay. “My entire life I’ve only wanted to give and do something that I felt was right and I immediately knew in this situation that it was wrong and it wasn’t a spectacle, it’s actually someone’s emotions… that I stepped on… It was rude, period. I’d like to be able to apologize to her in person.”

When asked by Jay when he realized he was wrong, Kanye replied: “Like as soon as I gave the mic back to her and she didn’t keep going.”

Jay then went on to bring up Kanye’s late mother, Dr. Donda West, during the interview, mentioning that he met her and asking the rapper what his mother would have said about her son’s behavior. Kanye struggled to find the words to answer the question and appeared to choke up. He also vowed to “take some time off” after his most public meltdown, saying: “After this, I need to just take some time off and analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve, because I am a celebrity and that’s just something I’m going to have to deal with.”

Rihanna Romantically Linked To Ex- Negus Sealy

rihanna-negus couple www.hometownhollywood.com

It’s looking like a Rihanna – Chris Brown reconciliation might be off, as she’s been spotted cavorting on the beach with ex-boyfriend Negus Sealy. Rihanna and Negus (who apparently has the nickname “The Love God) dated before Rihanna hooked up with Chris Brown, and it’s looking like Negus has been Rihann’s shoulder to cry on through her recent troubles.

Really, this seems like the best bet for all involved, as I can’t see some sort of weird modern day Ike and Tina Turner thing really working out for Rihanna and Chris Brown. He screwed up, it’s over, they should both move on, hopefully with him having learned something. Hopefully a relationship with Negus will turn out a little better for Rihanna.
