Michael Jackson "Thriller" Greatest Album Ever According To MTV Poll
Posted on 09. Apr, 2009 by CSS.
Michael Jackson’s 1983 LP Thriller has been named the “Greatest Album Ever” in a new poll from MTV. The pop superstar’s Quincy Jones-produced album–which featured hits like “Billie Jean,” “Beat It,” “Thriller,” and “The Girl Is Mine”— is the world’s best-selling album and dominated a poll of MTV viewers.
“I don’t think there’ll ever be another album like it in the history of music,” says MTV Base presenter Trevor Nelson. “There will never be a marriage of producer and artist, or songwriting and pop sensibility like that again. Due to the way people buy records now, there’ll never be an album that sells as many copies.”
More than 40,000 votes were cast by fans asked to choose their favorite album since 1981 from a shortlist of 26 LPs. The final list was then compiled by music industry experts from MTV’s three UK channels – MTV2, VH1 and MTV Base.
Check out the Top 20 and let us know what you think of the album rankings.

Thom Yorke Of 'Radiohead' Calls Miley Cyrus "Entitled Brat"
Posted on 13. Mar, 2009 by CSS.
Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has hit back at Disney’s Miley Cyrus for threatening to “ruin” his band.
Thom is upset over Miley’s public discontent with the band when she revealed they’d snubbed her at the Grammy Awards last month.
In a radio interview last week, Miley told the press: “My manager asked and said, you know, ‘Miley, she’s really obsessed and she’d really like to meet them,’ and they were like, ‘Yeah, we don’t really do that.’”
“I left ’cause I was so upset. I wasn’t going to watch! I’d already texted all my friends, we were all freaking out,” she added.
In a statement issued to magazine Us Weekly this week, Thom blasted Miley as an entitled brat, saying: “When Miley grows up, she’ll learn not to have such a sense of entitlement.”
Thank you Thom!!! Couldn’t agree more!
