kenny ortega www.hometownhollywood.com leaves 'footloose'Kenny Ortega has dropped out as director of Paramount’s Footloose remake, starring Gossip Girl’s Crawford and country starlet Julianne Hough, according to Variety.

The High School Musical lensman reportedly left the project after clashing with the studio about budget and tone.

Kenny, who directed the soon-to-be-released Michael Jackson concert film This Is It, allegedly wanted to stage complex musical numbers — which would have cost the studio $30 million. Paramount production chief Adam Goodman, on the other hand, insisted he remake be more dramatic than musical.

The 1984 original starred Kevin Bacon as a city slicker who moves to a rural town where dance has been outlawed by a overzealous local minister. In the process of trying to change the town’s laws, the teen falls in love with the preacher’s daughter.

A new Footloose director is expected to step in promptly to keep the film on track for its June 18 theatrical release

jackson 3 A&E tv show www.hometownhollywood.com

Introducing The Jackson 3! The King of Pop’s three children will be featured in an upcoming A&E reality show about the famous Jackson clan, according to a report in the Oct. 19 issue of Us Magazine.

The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty
is tentatively scheduled to air in December and will include Prince, 12, Paris, 11 and Prince Michael II, 7, who’s also called “Blanket,” in the cast.

Michael Jackson, who died June 25 at the of 50, was hugely protective of his kids and made them wear masks to protect their identities from the public.

Family matriarch Katherine Jackson, who has custody of the kids, “is just going along with things,” says a spy. And while Aunt Janet Jackson is OK with bringing the kids into the show, eldest sibling, Rebbie — who refuses to be featured– “feels Michael would spin in his grave if he knew his kids would be on the show.”

Jodi Gomes, who’s executive-producing the A&E special, told the magazine that there are now 23 Jackson family members involved in the show. Gomes would not comment on whether that number includes Prince, Paris, and Blanket.

Michael Lohan Confirms Lindsay Lohan’s Prescription Drug Problem

Lindsay Lohan Drug Problem www.hometownhollywood.com

Lindsay Lohan’s outspoken father has accused the former child star of harboring a secret addiction to prescription drugs.

This should be good…

The former Disney Golden Girl already has two rehab stints to her name and Michael Lohan says he’s terrified LiLo will suffer the same fate as Michael Jackson and Heath Ledger, who died of drug overdoses.

In an interview with RadarOnline.com, the elder Lohan claims the star is a bonafide addict.

“I’m going to get her off the prescription drugs that she’s on. I hate it when people talk about illegal drug abuse… because it’s not just drinking and illegal drugs that kill you. Prescription drugs can destroy and kill a person and are sometimes harder to stop. Look at Heath Ledger and Michael Jackson,” Michael told Radar.

“You know why Lindsay’s not acting in feature films right now? Because she can’t. Because the girl with all the talent is hidden and buried deep inside this fungus that’s grown because of the prescription drugs. She can’t be herself. When you hug her she’s like, vacant inside. When she kisses or holds me I get chills, and not in a good way – in a bad way,” he adds.

“She’s a different person. I was out there for a week when she was living at the Sunset Marquis Hotel and I would sit there and cry. It was horrible. This was not the kid I raised.”

If Lindsay doesn’t get it together soon her father’s worst fear would likely come true… it’s obvious she needs major help!

Michael Jackson’s Son Reportedly Going To Play Him In Biopic Film

Michael Jackson, Omer Bhatti www.hometownhollywood.com Movie

Michael Jackson’s alleged lovechild will reportedly play the King of Pop in proposed biopic inspired by his life.

Omer Bhatti, who Jackson Family patriarch Joe Jackson claims is the singer’s firstborn son, will recreate his father’s rise to fame on the big screen, if reports from British tabloid The Sun are to be believed.

“The family is close to Omer, as Michael was. He is a fantastic performer and they would like him to play the adult Michael,” The Sun quoted a family friend as saying. “Michael’s story from childhood to the height of success is nothing short of astounding. It needs to be told and that’s what his family want.”

Omer, who has worked as a Jackson impersonator and currently resides at the family’s multimillion compound in Encino, California, will reportedly star in the film that would focus on the Thriller legend during the height of his superstardom in his 20s — before the child abuse controversy that ruined his career in 1993.

“The family feel fans would love to see a dramatic retelling. They want to cover his childhood and family life but focus on when his career went into overdrive.”
