“The Real Housewives Of New York City” Newest Castmates Jennifer Gilbert & Sonja Morgan

A pair of new faces will be added to the mix when The Real Housewives of New York City strut back onto the small screen for a third season next year. Big Apple socialites Sonja Morgan and Jennifer Gilbert have joined the cast of the

popular Bravo docu-comedy/drama, The New York Post reported Thursday.
Don’t worry — Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, Bethenny Frankel, Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Alex McCord, Ramona Singer, and Jill Zarin will all be back for social calls and on-screen catfights. Sonja and Jennifer will come aboard on a “recurring basis,” the networks says.
Sonja Morgan, a former model and friend to European royalty and fashion designers, is a single mother of a 9-year-old daughter named Morgan. Sonja “loves art, decorating, gardening, skiing and visiting France every chance she gets — be it for her charity work or just for pleasure,” according to a press release from Bravo.
Jennifer Gilbert
And Jennifer Gilbert, a successful entrepreneur, has been married for seven years and has three children. She owns and runs Save the Date®, a corporate and social event planning company, and serves as the co-owner of PortaMEe, a baby carrier company. Jennifer was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young when she was 29. She is a graduate of the “Birthing of Giants” Program at MIT.
Her motto? “Why cook when you can cater?”
The Real Housewives of New York City, currently in production, will return to Bravo in 2010.

Sonja Morgan Replacing Bethenny Frankel “Real Housewives Of New York”

Bethenny Frankel was booted off Real Housewives NYC to make room for her very own reality series-and now her replacement has been named.
Socialite Sonja Morgan is replacing Bethenny Frankel, 38, on The Real Housewives of New York City, a source tells Usmagazine.com. Morgan, 45, “is not married,” the source tells Us. “You would think they’d get some more married women on the show! It’s called the Real Housewives of New York, after all!” She’s a pal of Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, who is also on the show, the insider adds.
Bethenny’s reality show on Bravo will chronicle her attempts to balance her love life and career. Bethenny is currently engaged to Jason Hopper.

‘Real Housewives Of New York’ Kelly Killoren Bensimon ‘Playboy’ December 2009

Get ready to see a whole lot more of reality personality Kelly Killoren Bensimon — although I’m positive I don’t care to!
The Big Apple socialite and popular star of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City has inked a deal to appear in a “partially nude” pictorial on the pages of icon men’s mag Playboy, In Touch Weekly tipsters tattled Wednesday.
According to an insider, Kelly’s former husband, French fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon, took the saucy snaps that will debut in Playboy’s December issue.
“Kelly is a former model, so she will be a natural.”
I’m sure the Countess LuAnn de Lesseps will have a thing or two to say about this! As well as, Ramona Singer who freaked when cast-mate Alex McCord’s personal nude photos were leaked to the press.

“Real Housewives Of New York” ‘Wives In The Fast Lane’ Episode

Last nights episode of Real Housewives of New York played out more like an extended infomercial platform for all the ladies to hock their goods at us!
Here’s my rundown on it:
Jill Zarin & Bethenny Frankel are becoming the only two ladies I can possibly stand. I couldn’t believe that Ramona referred to Bethenny as the underdog! Bethenny is making bank and professionally is on top of the world right now. I hate that women will put other women down solely based on the fact that they aren’t married or don’t have children. Give me a break! I’d rather be Bethenny any day than have to face myself in the mirror as Ramona!
Ramona’s new skincare line is a true laugh a minute! I loved it when Bethenny pointed out that she has two separate lines each with “True/Tru” spelled differently! And how original is TruReNewal? Sounds like a zillion other skincare lines on the market! Ramona is genuinely crazy! Which is no surprise why she is married to Mario because we all know crazy attracts crazy!
Ramona’s husband Mario is over the top dramatic- He comes across completely delusional and unable to see anyone outside his own image. The man looks like a clown each and every episode! Simon is dramatic as well. Only difference is Simon’s emotions are more understood, while Mario just comes across as an instigating baboon!
When Simon surprised Alex last night on her birthday and the surprise went slightly wrong and he had a complete melt down- you could totally tell that Alex was a bit mortified by his tantrum behavior!
Despite Ramona being ugly towards Bethenny on last nights episode, the housewife that really took the cake was Kelly Bensimon. Kelly seriously had me laughing out loud at one point! She is just so silly and not in a cute flattering way. It is really hard to watch her interact with other adults- its like she has no perspective on how she is coming across or how innapropriate she is! Her vocabulary as well as dialect sounds like that of a boy crazy 13 year-old school girl! The part of the episode that I couldn’t help but laugh at was when Kelly wanted to demonstrate her New York City running skills- as if we are all supposed to be so impressed that she throws on skimpy clothing and ‘prances’ through the streets of NY in front of taxis! I mean come on, how much more ridiculous can you make yourself look on national televison…priceless!

The Great Countess Luann de Lesseps Becomes CountLESS!

Gasps heard round the world I’m sure… who would have thought that the dignified lady would be left without her Count?! Apparently her husband Count de Lesseps has taken up with an Ethiopian woman who lives in Geneva, and no longer wishes to remain married to Luann.
I wonder if she will still act so dignified now…Does she keep the title of ‘Countess’? I hope it’s embarrassing for her to correct all those people she forced to call her ‘Countess’ with “No, it’s just Luann now.”
I’m sure she will clutch the title ‘Countess’ until the day she dies… How horrible to hold on to such a title and publicize it the way she has with her book and throwing it in everyone’s face, only to have her claim to privilege leave her for another woman.
Ouch! Here is what Page Six has to say:
A close pal said, “They decided to separate. She got wind he was seeing somebody and he didn’t answer her when she called. He finally sent her an e-mail saying he was with an Ethiopian woman in Geneva and he was serious with her.”
The revelation came as a shock to the countess, who celebrated her 16th anniversary with her husband on March 16.
“Luann was blindsided. She was just devastated,” the close friend told Page Six. “They have basically lived apart for many years — he lives in Europe and comes and goes as he pleases, but she never thought this would happen.
“It has been very rough for her and the children [Victoria and Noel], but she’s taking the high road and will remain friends with him,” the source added. “She has no intention of making it bitter or becoming angry. She’s just trying to come to terms with [the separation and impending divorce]. She feels this is the ultimate test for her to handle this with dignity and grace.”
Luann — whose book, “Class With the Countess,” comes out next month — has told friends that, no matter what, “I will always be the countess.”

Oh Geez! The Ladies Of Bravo’s ‘Real Housewives Of NYC’ Are Absolutely RID-IC-U-LOUS!!!!!!!

Why Oh Why were these ladies picked back up???
At least on the other Housewives programs there is humor along with their outrageous behavior. The ladies in NYC are so bland and boring but yet so insanely entitled!
The ‘Countess’ absolutely takes the cake in my book- my favorite quote of hers from the season opener is,
“For me that’s the worst a person could be, is people that think they are better than other people, that’s the worst”
Um, how do you say pot calling the kettle black?! Now, rewind to last season when the ‘Countess’ scolded Bethany for introducing her to the driver by her first name and not ‘Countess’…. give me a break!! Then later in this episode, the ever so humble ‘Countess’ refuses service of a bottled beer at the Hampton’s bash citing: ‘The Countess doesn’t drink beer from a bottle!!’ Oh Geeeeezzzzzzz Lady get off your high horse!!
Another favorite part of the episode for me was when Ramona pulls her daughter aside to share the gossip in the Cindy Adams column- Her daughter reminds me of a young spoiled Heidi Montag…. Then later on Ramona takes her husband to a restaurant to discuss the gossip and all he can do is stare at all the ladies walking by!! OUCH! Ramona’s hubby looks like a totally slime ball!
Last night they introduced a new housewife, Kelly. She is by far prettier than any of the other Housewives, that’s for sure! At first, when they introduced her at lunch with Luann I thought they were using her as the type of underdog for this season seeing that she is now a single mom- Then later on in the episode it cuts to what her life is like, and I think she has a lot going for her! She has exciting jobs in fashion and quite frankly may be the one redeeming quality about this season. Kelly’s status seems so far above everyone elses on that show! Maybe she will put some of the ladies in their place (ahem Countess Luann.)
Don’t get me started on Simon, I haven’t completely figured out his damage yet!
I have to say I will probably continue to tune in for the sole fact that watching grown woman act so ludicrous really helps remind me of the type of people I never ever want to end up like!!!! And I can’t deny it can be good material!
Just in case all you Luann fans dream of being just like her, she is coming to your aid!! Luann revealed that she is working on a ‘Manners/Etiquette’ book just for you!!

The Real Housewives of New York City are back for a second season on Bravo. As if anyone could compete with The Real Housewvies of ATL!
The cast stopped by The TODAY Show Tuesday to dish on all of the new drama that will jumping off in the Big Apple during Season 2.
If original cast members Bethenny Frankel, LuAnn de Lesseps, Alex McCord, Ramona Singer and Jill Zarin weren’t enough for you, Bravo has added a sixth socialite to the mix. Kelly Killoren Bensimon comes aboard this year as the newest star of The Real Housewives of New York City.
Last season I watched these ladies and to be quite honest it was exhausting to witness. They were incredibly dull and incredibly snooty and I just had no patience for them. I thought for sure Bravo would have dumped them off the ‘Real Housewives’ franchise!!
I think Bravo should tap into the housewives of Dallas/Plano, Texas, I grew up their and those ladies are RID-IC-U-LOUS!!!
