TLC ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8′ Cancelled

“Jon & Kate Plus 8 is ending in mid-to-late November, as previously reported,” a TLC spokeswoman told The New York Post Wednesday. Last month, the network announced that the once-popular show would be renamed “Kate Plus 8″ beginning Nov. 2 after the breakup of Jon and Kate Gosselin. TLC has since decided to cease producing new episodes of the series, particularly since Jon Gosselin, 32, barred the network from filming his eight children for their show.
TLC will try to squeeze out a couple remaining episodes from existing footage before putting the show to rest, sources say.

Kate Gosselin ‘JMZ’ Sketch ‘The Jay Leno Show’

A bitter public feud with her estranged husband Jon didn’t stop reality mom Kate Gosselin from poking fun at her “Mommy” image in a comedy skit that aired on The Jay Leno Show Wednesday.
In the skit, faux-photogs from Mike Day’s JMZ crew mob Kate’s car in a grocery store parking lot. “Seriously, I am exhausted. Leave me alone,” she scowls at them. “Hey, what did Mommy say? I asked you to stop taking pictures and you continued.”
She tells one photog “go to your room,” but after he complains that they’re in a parking lot, she says, “go to your car” and come out “when you’re ready to behave.”
“Will you help Mommy with these groceries?” she tells another pap — Kate even cowlicks a few cheeks!

‘Ripped From The Headlines’ Nadya Suleman & The Gosselins Inspired ‘Law & Order’ Episode

From the tabloids to primetime TV: Warring reality couple Jon & Kate Gosselin and Octomom Nadya Suleman have inspired their very own “Ripped From The Headlines” episode on the 20th season of NBC’s veteran crime drama Law & Order.
Next Friday’s episode was inspired by the headline-grabbing parents and their child armies, Law & Order Executive Producer Rene Balcer told Access Hollywood on Tuesday.
In the episode, a family patterned after The Gosselins,of TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 fame, battle it out with a single mama of multiples created in the image of real-life foe Nadya Suleman.
“Two families with multiple kids [compete] to land a reality TV contract,” Balcer says. “Out of that, a murder occurs and then, as the episode goes on, suddenly our lawyers get roped into the reality TV show…..It’s sort of inspired by the phenomenon — shows about multiples,” he explains.
“There’s lots of kids. There’s …Oh God, I don’t know if we hit 20, but we come pretty close.”

Jon Vs. Kate: The Battle Continues… Jon Gosselin Cleans Out Joint Bank Account

According to RadarOnline, Jon cleared out the couple’s joint bank account to the tune of $200,000, leaving his estranged wife with just $1,000. A second account, set up for the Gosselin children, was untouched, Radar claims.
Earlier this week, Jon waged war against TLC, the parent network of his family’s reality series Jon & Kate Plus 8, recently-renamed Kate Plus 8, after demanding the network halt production on the show.

TLC Renames “Jon & Kate Plus 8″ To “Kate Plus 8″

Jon Gosselin has been unceremoniously dumped from Jon & Kate Plus 8. The TLC reality hit has been renamed Kate Plus Eight, the network, announced Tuesday.
The series will be adapting to changes in the Gosselin household, which for months has been disrupted by the Gosselin’s messy divorce. After months of rumored infidelity by both Jon and Kate, the warring couple announced their split on an episode that aired in June. The rechristened Kate Plus Eight begins airing Nov. 2 and will continue to shadow the lives of the family’s eight multiples under age 10 while casting a deeper focus on Kate’s role as a single mother, TLC said Tuesday.
Jon will continue to appear on the show, but less frequently.
“Given the recent changes in the family dynamics, it only makes sense for us to refresh and recalibrate the program to keep pace with the family,” said Eileen O’Neill of TLC. “The family has evolved and we are attempting to evolve with it; we feel that Kate’s journey really resonates with our viewers. Additionally the network is in development on a Kate project for 2010.”
Jon & Kate Plus 8, which premiered in 2007, airs Mondays @ 9PM on TLC.

Kate Gosselin Getting Own Talk Show

Get ready to start your day with Kate Gosselin! Word is Jon’s ex is in discussions with Telepictures — the movement behind Emmy-winning gems like Ellen and The Tyra Banks Show — to host a daytime talk show with celebrity chef Paula Deen.
According to E! News, the production company wants to do a show like The View, starring Gosselin, Deen, and several other women.
“They’re looking around and casting for other women to be on the show with them. But they want all the women to be moms,” a TV industry insider blabbed on Monday.
A rep for Telepictures has refused to comment on the reports.
On Day One of her guest-hosting gig on The View Monday, the 34-year-old mom confessed that she needs the seven-figure salary she earns on The Gosselins’ smash reality series, Jon & Kate Plus 8, for “the paycheck” because she has no other way to support eight children.
With ratings steadily declining for the TLC docudrama, Kate may be looking for a new income.

Official Book Club Selection writer Kathy Griffin couldn’t leave the Kimmel stage last night without giving the spitfire star of TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 the parody treatment. The fiery redhead teamed up with Star Trek actor George Takei to poke fun at The Gosselins — reality royalty turned tabloid trash — in the spoof trailer for a fictional biopic entitled Kate Is Enough: The Kate Gosselin Story.

The notorious stage mother of actress Lindsay Lohan — an alleged former Radio City Rockette — has topped a new AOL poll of the “Worst Reality TV Moms.” Just last year, the mother of four was honored with a parenting award that hailed her as one of Long Island’s “Top Mothers.”
