Jessica Simpson Dress Collection

Jessica Simpson is expanding her accessories line–which already includes shoes, handbags and, swimwear–to include a line of dresses for women of all shapes.
“I want to create clothes that flatter every figure. I know how a dress can make you feel so frumpy. I promise mine won’t,” the singer, who has been publicly criticized for wearing a pair of high-waisted “Mom Jeans” at a concert in Florida two weeks ago, told the March issue of In Style magazine.
“We want to reach every type of person – and we do. But mainly I’m all about you wearing the dress, not the dress wearing you,” Jessica explains of her newly designed line. “I know what flatters a woman, and trust me, I’ve been judged a lot in my life. By now I know what works if you’re curvy.”
“If my clothing and accessories make you feel great and let you walk proud and tall — in big, big platform shoes – then I’m happy.”
The Jessica Simpson Dress Collection will debut later this year.

Jessica Simpsons Meltdown On Stage

Jessica Simpson suffered a meltdown and fled a concert in tears after a series of on-stage blunders ruined her opening set for Rascal Flatts at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Thursday night.
One local reporter has branded the embattled star’s performance a “trainwreck.”
Jess’ 38-minute show was riddled with embarrassing errors, beginning with the stage audio.
According to the Grand Rapids Press, Jessica struggled with her in-ear audio monitors throughout the performance and seemed to lose her place in several songs. She even forgot the lyrics to her recent single “Come On Over.”
The star stopped during the intro to her song “Pray Out Loud,” asking her band start over, before mouthing the word “sorry” to the crowd, telling the 8,000-strong audience, “My voice is weak tonight.”
While introducing her closing song, “Do You Know,” Jessica admitted wishing she could “walk off the stage,” she then thanked the band for “having her back,” before appearing to walk off in tears.
One concert-goer tells the Grand Rapids Press, “I felt bad for her tonight. It was uncomfortable to watch.”
“It was one of those trainwrecks that you went, ‘Oh no, I know where this is going and it’s not good,” John Gonzalez of the Grands Rapids Press told Grand Rapids NBC affiliate WOOD TV 8.
“She forgot her lyrics during a couple of the songs including one of her minor hit singles. … She just appeared to be kind of losing it as the show went on — just struggling.”
Nonetheless, John says the crowd was very polite to Jessica, who has become the subject of public scrunity after apparently packing on the pounds in recent weeks: “They applauded mildly — they didn’t boo her, which I was almost surprised that didn’t happen.”
I gotta say I feel for her- it sounds like Jess might be dealing with some issues right now, sad.

Jessica’s rep released this comment:
“Jessica had an off night,” the star’s publicist tells the AP. “She’s a perfectionist, and wanted to start some of the songs over. She always wants to give her best performance to her fans.”
This is really sad. Jessica’s obviously letting this “WeightGate” nonsense get to her. Everyone isn’t a size 2, and that’s OK. There are all different kinds of beauty. In fact, it is our differences that make this world interesting. Can you imagine how blah things would be if there was no variety and we all looked the same? While she may have put on some extra lbs she is far from fat and still very beautiful…..Now those infamous high-waisted jeans of hers are another story….

Jessica Simpson Gets Published In 'Wives Of Cowboys Cookbook'

Yet another star is trying to hop on the “celebrity chef” bandwagon, but this time I doubt anyone will believe it. Pop/country singer Jessica Simpson, who is not officially a wife or even a fiancee of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, contributed to a new Dallas Cowboys Family Cookbook, the proceeds of which go to charity. Because, you know, when you think of cooking, you automatically think of Jessica, right? It’s nice that Jess wants to get involved in a charity project – but who is she kidding? Anyone who watched “Newlyweds” knows that Jessica can’t cook to save her life.
She’s not engaged to Tony Romo (yet), but Jessica Simpson is officially a part of the Dallas Cowboys family.
She appears in the 2008 Cowboys Family Cookbook, presented by “the wives of the Dallas Cowboys.”
On page 127, Simpson (who is not photographed) and Romo share their favorite family recipes for a “banana breakfast fruit smoothies” and “no-fat broccoli and cherry tomatoes.”
The two also show off their funny sides in the book’s biographical section, with Simpson listing her occupation as “hairdresser” and Romo stating that he’s a “fence builder.”
Romo — who lists “U2, Coldplay and AC/DC” as among the artists on his iPod (sorry, Jess!) — also reveals that his favorite food is “chicken enchiladas.”

John Mayer Successfully Avoids Jessica Simpson

John Mayer is still going out of his way to avoid ex-girlfriend Jessica Simpson-even if it means missing an opportunity to support pal Pete Wentz, who is Jessica’s brother-in-law.
I hear Mr. Jennifer Anison, who once accused Jessica of stalking him, showed up at Gallery1988 in L.A. for Pete’s “Without You I’m Just Me” show last week, but ducked out early after hearing the “Sweetest Sin” singer would also be in the house.
“John showed up early for the public viewing and took pictures with fans, but left before the VIP portion of the evening started. He wanted to be there for Pete, but wanted more to avoid the possibility of a dramatic encounter with Jess.”

USA Today 'Most Exposed Celebrities Of 2008'

Britney Spears was the “Most Exposed Celebrity of 2008,” according to a poll by USA Today.
The Celebrity Heat Index ranks an individual’s exposure through print, TV and online entertainment news outlets throughout the year. Following her triumphant return to the music industry following a nervous breakdown earlier this year, the pop singer topped the rankings for the second year running.
Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were ranked second and fourth on the list, following the coverage given to the birth of their twins Vivienne and Knox in July.

Jessica Simpson's New Concert Venues Are A MAJOR Downgrade!

O how the mighty have fallen. Jessica Simpson has had to make do with a less than glamorous venues for recent performances. For example, bingo regulars at the 2,500-capacity San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino in Highland, California had their sanctuary invaded when the pop star turned aspiring country queen performed there on on November 13.
The hall’s florescent lighting, dirty carpet and fried-food odor is a far cry from the venues J-Simp played back when her album In This Skin sold 7 million copies, OK! Magazine writes.
“Jessica’s dressing room at the bingo hall was a little larger than a broom closet. There’s an iron, but no ironing board. There’s not even a fridge!”

Jessica Simpson’s Major Movie Star will finally see the light of day in a nation where English is the primary language, well sorta.
The Private Benjamin-inspired monstrosity, panned as “possibly one of the worst movies ever made” by the talking heads at Rotten Tomatoes, will be renamed Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous and released straight-to-DVD in America later this year.
Despite its bad press, the film managed to open No. 1 in Russia earlier this month. Go figure.

Jessica Simpson Wishes She Was 'God'?

Jessica Simpson stood up two dates on Tuesday night – boyfriend Tony Romo and … Elmo?
The singer – who designs clothing, shoes and handbags for Macy’s – was supposed to fly from Nashville to New York Tuesday to celebrate the department store’s 150th anniversary.
But driving rain caused serious flight delays, forcing Simpson to miss her scheduled Macy’s gig singing “Happy Birthday” with Elmo.
In fact the department store party – which included guests like Eva Mendes, Tommy Hilfiger and Martha Stewart – had nearly ended by the time Simpson finally arrived at 8:30 p.m.
“I’m so, so sorry!” she said as she rushed into Manhattan’s Gotham Hall with her B.F.F. hairstylist Ken Paves. “[I wish] I could be God and control the weather.”
