jennifer, oprah tv show www.hometownhollywood.com late nightThe former Friends actress is set to produce and star alongside the Queen of Talk in a weekly broadcast on The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), a new channel set to premiere next year.

It was Jen’s friendship with comedienne Chelsea Handler — who fronts her own knee-slapping late-night series on E! — that inspired her to take on the project.

A tipster tattles: “Jen became fascinated with the format after spending time with Chelsea. When she saw Oprah she mentioned that it would be fun to do a chat show and Oprah seized the moment and suggested they front one together for her new network.”

Jennifer, who is said to have a $210 million fortune, is still negotiating her salary for the project.

“Her salary is yet to be determined. She is doing this for one reason only: She absolutely wants to do it.”

The 14-year-old Corgi-Terrier, is one of the most pampered pooches in Hollywood, but Norman was recently diagnosed with a potentially life-threatening digestive problem, according to OK! Magazine.

“Norman is old and hasn”t been doing well. She’’s terrified her best friend could soon be gone,”
a tipster divulged.

The 40-year-old actress is very fond of animals and also has a three-year-old white German shepherd named Dolly.

Jen spoke of her bond with her pets earlier in the year, saying: “You have to say goodbye way too soon. It’’s just so sad. It makes me so sad. But their love is unconditional and I love that.”

John Mayer isn’t the only Hollywood hound Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson have in common.

Jessica and Gerard Butler had a date at NYC’s Soho House Tuesday night, with friends including her hair stylist pal, Ken Paves, as chaperon’s, celebrity spies told New York Post’s Page Six Column on Thursday.

“They were at a table with friends, but Jessica and Gerard, who sat next to each other, seemed to only be interested in each other and chatted for hours….They were laughing and flirting and eventually left together, along with Ken.”

New Music: John Mayer “Who Says” Music Video

“When I sing it, I do not think about marijuana – I think about walking around your house naked with a guitar. It’s about being in control of the pleasure in your life,” John said of the song in an interview with Rolling Stone.

“Who Says” is confirmed as the first single off of John’s soon-to-be-released fourth album “Battle Studies,” available Nov. 17. The effort is described as “observations and a little bit of advice on relationships … kind of like a heartbreak handbook.”

I’m sure once his album is released in November all the critics will be listening to every word to try and find a connection to Mayer’s former love, Jennifer Aniston.

‘Friends’ Cast To Reunite For Movie

The cast of Friends is reuniting to bring one of television’s biggest hits of the ’90s to the big screen, according to former series star James Michael Tyler.

The sitcom ended in 2004 after 10 seasons, and now the show’s six core cast members – David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry – are planning on starring in a film adaptation of the show that made them stars, according to Tyler, who played Central Perk employee Gunther on the series.

“Friends: The Movie is definitely on. I still keep in touch with a lot of the cast and they say that they are really keen. I am definitely on board to do the film,”
Tyler told Britain’s News Of The World back in September. “I really loved my time on the show and I am looking forward to meeting up with the old gang again. I just hope we can do justice to the show in a film.”

The show’s original creators, David Crane and Marta Kauffman, have reportedly been drafted in to write and produce the movie, a second source tells the publication.

“Everyone knew the story had to be right and well written. Getting the creators on board was a massive step forward for the project. The show did lose a lot of its shine in the last few seasons, but with the actors all in the forties it would be a real interest to see how their characters have developed.”

Friends: The Movie is set to hit theaters in the Summer 2011. I am a huge Friends fan so this news is super exciting, however, I’m a little cautious to fully believe it until I hear some of the major players confirming this.

Hair-obsessed Jennifer Aniston refused to get her trademark locks cut for her new movie Management, so she had producers order her a specialized $13,000 wig instead.

“She wanted to look very different, but didn’t want to cut or dye her hair,” says an insider. “The color was very complimentary on her. She’s got wonderful warm skin. With that blond hair, she’s very known as Jennifer Aniston and I think sometimes that takes away from watching the story.”

Jennifer Aniston is planning to give up her career as an actress to turn her focus to directing other stars from behind the camera, a new report claims.

According to Star Magazine insiders, the former Friends star has grown tired of acting and dreams of a career that will allow her to direct her own movies.

“I’m just waiting for the right thing,” Jen recently confided to pals. “I’m at a place where I feel I can breathe and make some choices that creatively stimulate me.”

In other Aniston news, Jen cozied up to her pint-sized co-star as the pair shoot scenes for The Baster on the stoop of a Brooklyn brownstone on Wednesday.

“I love acting, but I don’t know if that’s always going to be it.”
