Kelly Osbourne Talks Rehab & A Life Long Addiction.
Posted on 22. Mar, 2009 by CSS.
Second-generation substance abuser Kelly Osbourne says she was heading down the same dangerous path as her dad, rocker Ozzy Osbourne, before she checked herself into rehab a few months ago. The newly-engaged reality star says she had two options to free herself of a long-standing addiction to painkillers: rehab or death.
Three weeks after completing a month-long stay in a rehabilitation center, Kelly Osbourne tells PEOPLE that she’s been addicted to painkillers since she was a teenager.
“I had my tonsils taken out [at age 13], and they gave me liquid Vicodin,” the TV personality recalls of her first use of painkillers. “I found, when I take this, people like me. I’m having fun, I’m not getting picked on. It became a confidence thing.”
Osbourne, 24, says that despite two trips to rehab in 2004 and 2005, she has never been clean until now.
The star, who reunites with her family for a March 31 FOX special called Osbournes Reloaded (their first collaboration since MTV’s The Osbournes), decided to seek help after suffering an intense relapse this year. Using downers to sleep through the days, she says, “I knew if I didn’t get help, I would die.”
“I’m getting a second chance [at my career],” she says, “and I want to be present for it.”

It’s great that Kelly has enough self awareness to realize at an early age that she was heading into dangerous territory. I wish her continued strength and clarity in staying sober!

Calling All Osbournes….
Posted on 12. Dec, 2008 by CSS.

Reality TV’s First Family could be introducing fans to even more Osbournes with the premiere of their upcoming FOX variety show.
The Osbournes are calling for other eccentrics from their family tree to join in the fun and make the new show a big success.
In a new advertisement posted by the family, they ask: “Is your family’s name Osbourne, Osbourn, Osborne, or Osborn? We are looking for fun outgoing Osb(ourne) families to meet Ozzy, Sharon, Jack and Kelly Osbourne as part of a new primetime variety show,”
I think that sounds like a creative idea- wonder what kind of people they will unearth in the process… should be interesting.

Elijah Wood & Jack Osbourne Make History!

This is fantastic to watch, I would give my left pinkie to do some of the things Jack Osbourne does on his show Adrenaline Junkie which airs on UK station ITV2 Wednesdays at 9:00.
Elijah and Jack set death-defying world record while taping the season opening episode. Elijah is the first person to cross Victoria falls, the largest waterfalls in the world, by ropes.
I’m just glad Jack Osbourne made it across unmolested by dinosaurs.

Ozzy Not An Idiot!!
Posted on 26. Aug, 2008 by CSS.
Jack Osbourne gave this interview to People:
Jack Osbourne wants to set the record straight about his famous father. And that means taking a few swipes at the MTV reality show that put his family back on the map. “I think The Osbournes, to a degree, tarnished the public’s perception of my dad as a bit of a senile, funny, bumbling guy,” Jack tells Rolling Stone magazine. “Yeah, my dad can be that guy, but it’s not [all of] him.” Now Jack is trying to rejuvenate his dad’s rocker legacy. He has recruited his own pals and his dad’s former bandmates to contribute to a documentary he began shooting in January.
The result, he told the music mag, will be a kind of filmic memoir. The Black Sabbath frontman is dyslexic and “refused to do a book,” Jack adds. “So this is more like a talking book, a really thorough autobiography.” And despite their close family bonds, Jack insists the film won’t be a puff piece.
“My dad’s not an idiot – he’s nothing short of a genius, in my opinion,” he explains. “He does have huge flaws, and we’re trying to really paint an honest picture of that.”
