A new racy billboard ad featuring Eva Mendes in her underwear has brought the traffic in New York City to a standstill.

The Cuban-American star –dressed just in a skimpy bra and panties — joins a scantily-clad male model in a controversial new Calvin Klein ad. The billboard spans an entire block on Houston St. in the city’s trendy SoHo neighborhood and has many New Yorkers complaining that the image is borderline “pornography,” according to The New York Daily News.

Calvin Klein has a long history of advertisements — and so does Eva. The Hitch star appeared in a CK fragrance campaign that was pulled in the U.S. last year after censors ruled it was obscene.

Sultry Transformers star Megan Fox is being lined up to play She-Hulk.

I have learned that the 22-year-old actress is a favorite to portray the giant green femme superheroin the big screen adaptation of the popular comic book series about The Incredible Hulk’s cousin.

“‘She-Hulk’ comics are popular so it’s only natural that the character makes the transition to the big screen.”

Megan is in discussions to play Jennifer Walters, a sexy lawyer who dramatically transforms into a powerful monster when she is angry.

“The idea is to make She-Hulk sexier but even more savage than the Hulk, which is why Megan is the big favorite for the lead,” inside sources revealed Wednesday. “She’ll be green of course and will have to hang on to a few more pieces of clothes than the male version when she transforms!”

But Megan’s She-Hulk casting could spell trouble for Nicolas Cage, who has been closely involved with the production of the movie, recently admitted he wants his Ghost Rider co-star Eva Mendes to take over the role.

“I’m working on ‘She-Hulk’ and I’d like to see Eva play her. It would be her in a bikini just kicking a lot of ass, throwing cars. I’m trying to put that together as we speak.”

If anyone even cared what my vote was-it would definitely be for Eva Mendes not Megan Fox!!

With the party season in full swing as Golden Globes weekend is upon us, the stars were out for The Art of Elysium’s 2nd Annual Heaven Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night (January 10).

Held at The Vibiana, the stylish black-tie affair saw Hollywood stars including Nicole Richie, Joel Madden, Kate Bosworth and Gerard Butler all take to the red carpet for the charitable cause.

The event was hosted by Rosetta Millington Getty and Ryan Kavanaugh, with other celebrities in attendance including Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Patricia Arquette, Sophia Bush, Kirsten Dunst, Melissa Joan Hart, Ali Larter, Jared Leto, Eva Mendes and many others.

Jennifer Howell, founder of the organization which seeks to enrich the lives of artists and critically ill children, told press, “The Art of Elysium exists because of the passion that artists hold in their hearts. By serving children in need, the artist is allowed to express this passion in ways that could never be revealed on stage, in a gallery or behind a camera.”

Eva Mendes Says Real Nude Boobs Are Less Vulgar Than Large Fake Bikini Clad Boobs.

I did a little quick and likely highly inaccurate mental math, and Eva Mendes has spent approximately 78% of the last year completely naked. From baring her butt for PETA, to going topless in Italian Vogue, and making an ad for Calvin Klein that was so raunchy it was banned in the US – the woman has spent very, very little time covering her private parts.

Mendes obviously doesn’t have a problem with nudity, and she recently told AOL’s Moviefone that she thinks a bare, natural breast is much more beautiful and artsy than giant fake boobs that are covered by a bikini.

You made headlines this year for some very revealing shoots. First there was the Italian Vogue photos, then a banned Calvin Klein ad. Are you collecting proof that America is too sexually conservative?

You know what? I’m American, and I’m as proud as you get. But I think it’s easier for us to portray violence, and then to be OK with it, than it is for some reason to portray nudity. And look: I don’t like gratuitous nudity, and I believe that I’ve never been a part of gratuitous nudity, in a film or in a photo shoot. I feel like all my stuff has always been, if not artful, if not artsy, you know, tasteful. I think we’re a bit conservative when it comes to nudity and sexuality. And it’s so funny because I’d much rather see a beautiful nude of a woman than see these girls with these Triple-D fake boobs in a bikini. To me, that’s more vulgar than seeing a beautiful nude of a natural body.

So it’s a matter of taste?

Yeah. It’s like, who cares if you actually see the nipple in the nude? It’s a beautiful, natural nude. Versus, you know, women in these tiny, little, itsy bitsy bikinis with boobs that really don’t belong on their body. And I’m not against fake breasts at all; I’m not against augmentation. But I think when you get to that point of vulgarity where it’s not in proportion, that’s more vulgar to me than a beautiful nude.

Is it true that you said something along the lines of “Actresses who don’t want to do nude scenes should be nuns”?

That doesn’t sound like anything I would say. But I think that a lot of actresses look down and frown upon other actresses doing nudity. And I think in a film, baring your soul is baring your soul, and sometimes it entails nudity, and that doesn’t mean that you’re not as mysterious or you’re lesser than [others]. I think that can add to your performance, because it’s a scary thing putting yourself out there. And if I’m going to be emotionally naked, sometimes a script will call for me to be physically naked as well. I would never frown upon it. And I think in Hollywood some actresses do frown upon it. They say it like an honor: “I would never do nudity!” And it’s like, oh come on! I’m an actress, you know, I’ll do what it takes to make my part as honest as it can be. So I probably said something like that.

Well, at least Eva practices what she preaches. Not surprisingly, she’s naked in her upcoming film “The Spirit.” She’s also gone nude in three other movies.

Eva Mendes, whose comic book thriller The Spirit opens in theaters this weekend, is featured on the January 2009 cover of Allure Magazine

Quote from Allure Interview:

“I’m OK with being pigeonholed right now because I created most of it…,” she says. “If I don’t want to be offered sexy roles, then I shouldn’t be on a humongous billboard half-naked… But I want to be on that billboard… You can pigeonhole me now… But it won’t stay that way.”
