Newly-single Dancing With The Stars pro Karina Smirnoff is kicking off her dancing shoes — along with everything else — in a new PETA campaign — “I’d Rather Dance Naked Than Wear Fur” — shot by celebrity photographer Robert Sebree.

The stunning 31-year-old stopped wearing fur after watching footage of baby seals being killed for their pelts.

“I did wear fur, especially when I was growing up in the Ukraine,” the fancy-footed beauty reveals in an interview with PETA. “But there are ways of being warm and being fashionable without being cruel.”

Smirnoff joins a growing list of celebrities–including Christina Applegate, Sophie Monk, Khloe Kardashian, Nia Long, and Kimora Lee Simmons –who have starred in PETA’s anti-fur ad campaign.

Toni Collette looks amazing in this acceptance speech video for her win for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series (United States of Tara).

What did you think of Toni Collette’s win? Was Tina Fey robbed? I had expected Tina Fey to take the award but I was really hoping Christina Applegate would-she was absolutely wonderful on ‘Samantha Who’ so sad ABC cancelled that!

Samantha Who cancelled ABC www.hometownhollywood.com

ABC has pulled the plug on Samantha Who?

The half-hour comedy starring actress Christina Applegate won’t be back next season, according to Variety. The trade magazine claims ABC canned the show due to economic reasons. The network was reportedly looking to cut $500,000 per episode and had considered switching from a single camera format to using multiple cameras, says a spy.

Christina — who successfully battled cancer while working on the sitcom — was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy for her role as Samantha in 2008.

This news pains me… I really loved this show-Jennifer Esposito was hilarious to watch-not to mention Christina Applegate is just flat out awesome-And Melissa McCarthy cracked me up! This is totally bumming me out!

ABC has really angered me this year with the programs they have cancelled and the ones they have replaced them with! If In The Motherhood or Surviving Suburbia are on next year I am going to lose it! While I love Bob Saget his show absolutely blows and In The Motherhood is just insulting to watch…

Christina Applegate Most Beautiful www.hometownhollywood.com

PEOPLE Magazine released its annual “Most Beautiful” issue on Wednesday, which features 100 of the most striking faces from the worlds of film, television, music, and politics.

Christina Applegate graces the cover of this year’s “Most Beautiful” issue. The star of ABC’s Samantha Who? underwent reconstructive breast surgery last November after being diagnosed with breast cancer — a diagnosis the actress credits with giving her a new lease on life.

“I used to be really shy but I started to come into my own in my late 20s and early 30s. Now I’m not afraid to speak up in a room full of people and be a part of the conversation.”

Vanessa Hudgens, Freida Pinto, America Ferrera, and Robert Pattinson are also featured on this year’s “Most Beautiful” list.

christina applegate smoking www.hometownhollywood.com

Christina Applegate was snapped smoking in Los Angeles yesterday. That wouldn’t be news, say for the fact that the Samantha Who? star was diagnosed with breast cancer last summer.

Christina had been a smoker for years but managed to kick the habit after undergoing a double mastectomy in 2008. Guess she’s back on the bandwagon…….and very foolishly..

Put down the damn cancer sticks, Christina!

'Ugly Betty' Pulled From ABC Lineup….

Betty’s been benched!

ABC has just announced that it will place award-winning dramedy Ugly Betty on hiatus-indefinitely-beginning March 26.

New episodes of Samantha Who? and Megan Mullally and Cheryl Hines’ freshmen comedy In the Motherhood will replace Betty, an offbeat comedy about an aspiring writer and her daily struggles to survive Manhattan’s cutthroat fashion world, in the network’s Thursday night lineup.

“Ugly Betty will return to Thursday nights at 8 p.m. following the run of In the Motherhood and Samantha Who?,” the network said in a statement released to Entertainment Weekly on Monday.

“The Thursday night block is a good opportunity to launch these comedies,” an ABC spokesman says. “Betty is a solid performer and there is no question that it will definitely be back to complete its season, just without repeats.”

ABC has not announced when Ugly Betty will return to the air.

Here is what one of the stars of ‘Ugly Betty’ Michael Urie has to say for all us fans:

BETTY’S NOT CANCELED

come on, really? Here are the facts:

We are going to finish shooting our original 3rd season order – 24
episodes (currently on 16).

At the end of March, we’re going off the air for a while, at a time
when we would normally be on for a few weeks, off for a few,
confusing and angering fans with repeats.

In June, we come back, and finish the last 6 episodes of the season
without interruption!

This has been done with lots of ABC shows over time, like LOST and
Desperate Housewives. We’ve got great real estate on Thursday nights
at 8pm, and the network wants to share it with other shows! It makes
sense.

Doesn’t mean the end of Betty.

keep watching!!!! In fact, go buy some episodes on iTunes for fun!

:0)

-From MichaelUrie.net

Makes sense- I will actually be glad to not have to deal with the new episode followed by a rerun cycle!
