Julianne Hough has landed a role as a dancer in the upcoming movie musical Burlesque, The Boot reported Wednesday. The former Dancing With The Stars pro and rising country star joins a cast that already include Christina Aguilera, Kristen Bell, and Cher.
Julianne also landed herself the lead role in the upcoming remake of Footloose opposite heartthrob Chace Crawford.

She may be a wife and mother, but at 28, petite powerhouse Christina Aguilera is still determined to keep it sexy.
“It’s important to keep a strong sense of yourself when you’re a mom,” Christina — who is married to music exec Jordan Bratman — reveals in the November issue of Cosmpolitan UK. “You’re still you and you can still be confident in your sexuality.”
The star also reveals that she likes walking around in her birthday suit — and when it comes to stripping, no one gets her in the zone better than her husband.
“I feel sexiest in the nude,” Max’s mommy explains. “When you see something you dislike and your partner embraces it. It makes you feel good. You know, the scars of life are beautiful. I love a bubble bath with my husband and a glass of wine, He has a way of making me feel sexy.”
“I’ve always had fun playing up to my sexual side.”
It may come as a surprise, but women really are “beautiful in every single way.”
“I think women are such sensual beings,” she tells the mag. “And, I mean, I’m attracted to men ultimately. But, honestly, if I had the choice between viewing a naked man or a naked woman, I’d choose the woman. We’re just naturally sexier and more beautiful to look at.”

Kristen Bell Joins “Burlesque” Movie Cast

Kristen Bell has joined the cast of Burlesque, a dramatic movie musical in which she will star as a rival to pop diva Christina Aguilera.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is about an ambitious small town girl with a strong voice who does well on a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club, reminiscent of the nightclub in Bob Fosse’s Cabaret.
The former star of the now-defunct cult favorite Veronica Mars will play Nikki, who is a dancer and main attraction at the club and goes out of control when Aguilera’s character suddenly steals her spotlight.
Cher and Stanley Tucci are also cast in the movie. Shooting will begin Nov 9 and a release date is planned for Thanksgiving 2010.

Christina Aguilera Set To Star In Movie: "Burlesque"

Xtina’s going Burlesque on the big screen….
Christina Aguilera has signed on for her first film project.
The four-time Grammy Award-winning powerhouse will star in Screen Gem’s Burlesque.
Christina will play a talented young singer from a small town who finds success and love while performing at a burlesque club in Los Angeles, Variety has learned.
“I couldn’t be more excited, as this was a project written with her in mind,” Screen Gems’ president Clint Culpepper told the trade paper on Monday.
The new project will begin shooting later this year.

Lady Gaga Thanks Christina Aguilera For Stealing Her Style.

Lady Gaga, a rising star whose infectious hit “Just Dance” has overtaken the airwaves, has responded to Christina Aguilera’s alleged style-stealing. Although Christina has been around for little over a decade now, and the NYC-based Lady Gaga is just starting out, it seems that Christina’s new look was inspired by the younger singer. With their platinum blonde hair, blunt bangs, and similar (scanty) clothing choices, people have been asking: did Christina know that she was copying someone else’s look?
In November, the LA Times did an interview with Christina in which she denied any knowledge of Lada Gaga at all when she was asked to respond to people who saw a resemblance:
“You know, that’s funny that you mention that. This person [Lady Gaga] was just brought to my attention not too long ago. I’m not quite sure who this person is, to be honest. I don’t know if it is a man or a woman. I just wasn’t sure. I really don’t spend any time on the Internet, so I guess I live a little under a rock in that respect.”

Now, Lady Gaga is responding to all the press. She says that her association with Christina has led to increased attention to her music:
“Well, it was very flattering when it happened. She’s such a huge star and if anything I should send her flowers, because a lot of people in America didn’t know who I was until that whole thing happened.
“It really put me on the map in a way, though of course I don’t just want to be remembered for the Christina Aguilera scandal.
“There are no hard feelings with Christina at all,” Lady says. “What it showed me was, even thought I have only been on the commercial market for seven or eight months, I’ve really burned graphic images of my visuals onto the irises of my fans.”

Good for her. Although she doesn’t directly defend Christina, it’s nice that she takes press that was actually in her favor and tries to neutralize it. Maybe Christina can copy that as well… All I can say is one of them carries it off while the other definitely does not.

Christina Aguilera Passed Out Drunk.

Christina Aguilera maybe spending a bit too much time with the Genie in the Bottle.
The “Keeps Gettin’ Better” star drank so much champagne during the November 23 Target Terrace Grand Opening party at L.A. Live that she passed out in the middle of the event and had to be physically removed!
“Almost 20 people in her entourage tried hiding her,” a spywitness tells Star. “Her husband, Jordan, and a backup dancer each took an arm and carried her out.”
I don’t know why it has taken so long for these stories to circulate- chalk it up to a good PR Manager I guess, but Christina has been a huge lush for a long time now- making quite the fool of herself.

Christina Aguilera is trying to play down her long rumored rivalry with Britney Spears. The singer says that she has never considered her former Mickey Mouse Club co-star a competitor.
“When we both started releasing records, it was a funny time for me,”
“It must have seemed as if we were competing with each other, but, in reality, Britney is someone that I used to hold hands with,” she added.
“We were silly little girls together on The Mickey Mouse Club. What a journey it has been for both of us!”
“There have been so many stories about the two of us not getting on. We don’t keep closely in touch with one another, and it’s obvious how our lives have taken on two different directions. I always wish her all the best.”

Christina Aguilera Takes Her Chest Out For A Night On The Town.

Christina Aguilera was clearly keen to keep covered up from the British chill. But the plucky singer still showed plenty of front, as her heaving bosom spilled forth from her tight-fitting coat. The singer was seen leaving restaurant L’Atelier after a romantic dinner with husband Jordan Bratman at L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon restaurant in London’s Covent Garden last night.
Christina looked just swell, as her bosom spilled over the top of her pink corseted dress. In fact, even though she had her first child ten months ago, her bounteous appearance will do little dispel rumours that a second baby might be on the cards for the year-old singer.
Christina and her husband are making the most of their couple time, as the singer arrived in London earlier this week to perform at the Africa Rising concert. But she looked a little down in the mouth despite her evening out at the exclusive restaurant. Christina made her return to the stage in the UK wearing a series of eye-catching outfits at London’s Albert Hall on Wednesday, ten months after giving birth to her son Max.
