Coldplay Free Album Giveaway: "LeftRightLeftRightLeft"

Coldplay will give away copies of their live album, LeftRightLeftRightLeft, at all the shows on their North American tour beginning May 15.
The album — recorded during the band’s live European tour — will also be available via the group’s website.
Here’s what the band’s official website says:
Good Morning. We’re pleased to announce that Coldplay will be giving away a live CD, LeftRightLeftRightLeft, at every remaining live show in 2009 (apart from festival shows). Starting with the band’s first North American tour date, at West Palm Beach in Florida on May 15th, every fan attending a show will be given a free copy of the nine-track CD, which won’t be available elsewhere. Also on May 15th, LeftRightLeftRightLeft will be made available as a free download right here at Coldplay.com, for all fans (and for the same time period).
According to the band, the giveaway is meant to offer gratitude to the fans who have supported them in these tough economic times.
“Playing live is what we love. This album is a thank you to our fans – the people who give us a reason to do it and make it happen.”
This is truly awesome thing they are doing when you think about it- it is a great gesture for their fans! Right on Coldplay!!

“The Promise” just bagged Girls Aloud their first Brit Awards gong in the group’s seven year history. The single track was named the year’s Best British Single at the 2009 BRIT Awards in London on Wednesday night.

Gwyneth Paltrow 'Elle' UK Magazine Cover & Interview 'F*** The Haters'

Gwyneth Paltrow has been spending too much with Jay-Z.
The Academy Award winner is biting back at critics of her universally-panned lifestyle blog, Goop, in the March 2009 issue of British Elle.
“F*** the haters! I saw this blog of people writing horrible things about me and for a second your ego is so wounded,” the 36-year-old says in Elle’s annual Fashion Issue.
(Sidebar: Someone not liking you, usually means specifically that–they don’t like you. It takes more than an adverse opinion to qualify a person as a “hater.”)
“How could people hate me, my intentions or what I’m trying to do? I’m a good person and I’m trying to put good things into the world.”
“I’m probably less square than people think. I never get drunk to the point of throwing up. But I get very talkative,” she revealed.
She also shed light on her relationship with husband Chris Martin – and why they are never pictured together.
“It doesn’t behove us to be a public couple. He certainly doesn’t want to be that. I mean, we’ve never ever walked down a red carpet together, we never will.”
Interesting that this comes Interview comes out as The Daily Mail reports the Gwyneth will indeed be walking the red carpet at the Grammys with husband Chris Martin. Word is she is doing it to squash rumors that their marriage is falling apart- I guess we’ll have to stay tuned to see if there is any truth to this one…
They made a pact never to be pictured together but now Gwyneth Paltrow is planning to walk the same red carpet as husband Chris Martin – to scotch rumours that their marriage is in trouble.
Gwyneth, 36, has agreed to present an award at the US Grammys next week, where Chris, 31, will be performing with Coldplay.
‘If Gwyneth has her way, she will appear hand-in-hand with Chris,’ says a source. ‘She wants it to be a two-fingered salute to rumours about their marriage. She would happily speak out but Chris has forbidden her to ever discuss their marriage.’
It comes after the 31-year-old singer met up with former Mis-Teeq singer Alesha Dixon at the NRJ music awards in Cannes earlier this month.
One mole remarked: ‘We didn’t know Chris and Alesha were friends but they were getting along famously, so much so that Chris offered her a ride home on his private jet.’
The 30-year-old Strictly Come Dancing winner – recently voted the woman with the best legs in Britain – quickly accepted the offer.

Gwyneth Paltro Obsessed With Madonna

With rumors of a split intensifying, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are reportedly in the middle of last-ditch efforts to save their marriage. One focal point of discussion for the sparring couple includes the Oscar-winning actress’ alleged obsession with good pal Madonna.
“Gwyneth has the Madonna bug… bad,” says a mutual friend. “It’s eerie. Gwyneth acts normally until Madonna comes around, and then Gwyn is all about Madonna, all the time. Madge has even introduced Gwyneth to all her friends. Now instead of going to see Chris perform, she’d rather hang out with people like Alex Rodriguez and Ingrid Casares.”

Do Not Bring Brad Pitt Up Around Chris Martin!

Gwyneth Paltrow’s temperamental husband, Chris Martin, has a history of overreacting when journalists mention his wife. It’s ok if he brings her up, but if you ask him a question about her you never know what type of reaction you are going to get!!
Back in June, Martin made it clear that he feels competitive with his wife’s ex fiance, Brad Pitt. He told Rolling Stone Magazine that “If your wife went out with Brad Pitt, you’d want to prove yourself, you know what I mean?”
During a recent interview with Q Magazine, Martin punched a journalist in the chest after he made an offhand comment about Pitt that didn’t seem like it was meant maliciously. Martin was the one who jokingly brought up the subject of leaving his wife, but when Pitt’s name came up he got all serious and ended up punching the guy:
During a Q interview and in an acceptance speech at the recent Q awards, Martin had expressed his admiration for the cashiers-made-good from Girls Aloud and so later during the night of the awards, Rees decided to bowl up and compliment the singer on excellent taste in women.
Martin explained to him that he had been told by his wife that he was only allowed to leave her if it was for one of the pop starlets, and by a reciprocal arrangement, she had chosen… Irish crooners Westlife. (F’ck knows why, but then again anyone who thinks eating pulses is a good idea can’t really be trusted with anything can they.)
Clearly bemused by Paltrow’s choice and not giving himself time to engage his brain, Rees blurted out: “You could have at least told her Brad Pitt.”
All well and good, given the number of women who’d froth at the mere thought of it.
Except, as Martin so eloquently put it….
“She was engaged to him, you f’cker.”
Bugger.
Realising he’d just committed a massive faux pas, Rees tried to comfort Martin with a fatherly arm round the shoulder while pointing out that Paltrow had at least dumped the Hollywood A-lister for him.
But sadly these words too failed to resonate with the musician, and he proceeded to execute a swift blow to the chest accompanied by the word “c***”.
