Candy Spelling Continues To Leak Info To The Press
Posted on 22. Apr, 2009 by CSS.

Candy Spelling is desperate to end her long-running feud with her daughter Tori. The pair has been at odds since the former 90210 star revealed that she practically disinherited following the death of her father, television mogul Aaron Spelling, in 2006.
In her latest attempt to patch things up, Candy recently reached out to Tori in an e-mail proposing “mother-daughter” therapy sessions as a last ditch effort mend their dysfunctional relationship, The National Enquirer claims.
Tori has yet to respond.
If the therapy sessions do go down, would it be to much to ask for them to televise that too??

Candy Spelling Keeps Fanning The Fire!

Just days after issuing a painful public plea to her daughter Tori, socialite Candy Spelling is changing her tune in the escalating war of words between the two women.
“It hurts a lot,” Candy says in the new issue of OK! “She’s always playing the victim, but at 36 years old, I think it’s time not to play the victim anymore.”
In her new book, Mommywood, on sale now, Tori describes her mother as “disastrous” and calls their lifelong strained relationship as “intense and destructive.”
One of Candy’s biggest qualms with her estranged daughter is that she feels Tori is exploiting her children for her career. Tori, her husband Dean, and the couple’s two children, Liam, 2, and Stella, 10 mos. are featured on the Oxygen reality series, Tori & Dean.
“I certainly never took one of my kids and made them objects,” Candy counters. “It’s always like they’ve got them when it’s convenient for the press. They are objects that are being used for her press persona… My kids — although she says differently — had a very normal life.”
Enough already Candy! Enough!

Candy Spelling Open Letter For Tori Spelling For Everyone To Read!

On the eve of the release of Tori Spelling’s second book, Mommywood, the Hollywood socialite’s estranged mother has reached out to her in an emotional open letter.
In the public plea posted on her Official Website Candy Spelling writes:

I do hope they can work this thing out. When it’s all said and done, all you’ve got is family. Do it for the kids, guys! Although I have to say an open letter is continuing to invite the media into this “feud.” I believe if Candy genuinely wants a relationship than she should have just tracked Tori down and made her plea in person instead of via the world wide web!

Tori Spelling Denies Feud With Mother Candy Spelling
Posted on 13. Apr, 2009 by CSS.

Tori Spelling says her mother’s insistence of an on-going feud between the two has been greatly exaggerated.
“It’s not like we’re not talking, we just haven’t talked,” Tori revealed in an interview with PEOPLEon Monday. “I love my mother. I’ve always loved her [and] no doubt she loves me. There’s no feud. We simply never meshed.”
“My mother is who she is. I’ve become who I am. At some point I realized those two just didn’t go together.”
In an interview with 20/20’s Elizabeth Vargas last month, socialite Candy Spelling claimed that her 35-year-old daughter refuses to speak with her, she has been cut off from her grandchildren, and that she has never met Tori’s youngest child, 10-month-old Stella.
Not true, says Tori.
“I, in no way, cut her off,” Tori counters. “She is welcome to make the effort if she wants to be present in their lives.” She adds that their last contact was an email exchange while she was pregnant with Stella. “She knows how to reach me, she knows where we live. If she would love to see her grandchildren, she should really make an effort to reach out and see them.”
Tori’s new book, Mommywood, will debut on Tuesday. Stories From Candyland, the memoir from Candy Spelling, is in stores now.
Again, I reiterate that I completely 200% believe Tori’s account of things. Especially having watched all of Tori’s episodes on Oxygen- the one episode where it is little Liam’s birthday and her mother doesn’t show, instead sends over a chauffeur with a bunch of presents- I believe if Candy wanted to be in those kids lives she would be, end of story.
Tori by the way does an excellent job stating the facts!

Candy Spelling '20/20' Interview
Posted on 29. Mar, 2009 by CSS.
In an interview on ABC’s 20/20 Friday, self-proclaimed Hollywood trophy wife Candy Spelling says she’s never met her granddaughter.
In her new book, Stories From Candyland, Candy speaks out about her often strained relationship with her estranged daughter, Tori.
Candy, widow of TV mogul Aaron Spelling, says she’s never met nine-month-old Stella, the youngest child of Tori and the actress’ husband Dean McDermott. Tori and Dean, who are Oxygen reality stars, also have a two-year-old son named Liam.
“I would love to be close to my grandchildren,” Candy tells 20/20 co-anchor Elizabeth Vargas. “I’m the only grandparent that’s living. So, I’m it. And — I’ve never even met Stella.”
ABC writes: Last year, Tori Spelling told “20/20? that her very wealthy mother was not taking care of her children and grandchildren financially. Candy Spelling says that this is categorically untrue and that her grandchildren — Stella and 2-year-old Liam — are well taken care of and have trust funds set up in their names.
“We’ve always taken care of our children extremely well,” she said. “I’m not saying [Tori Spelling is] lying. I’m just telling you what I have done.”
I have to say, I watched the interview and Candy completely hit a nerve with me. I’ve personally read Tori’s first book, Stori Telling and I found it to be an honest account of her life thus far. My favorite cringe moment of the interview was when Candy announces that she doesn’t even know where Tori currently lives. It’s all hogwash if you ask me. I have a grandmother who claims not to know my email address even though its the same one I’ve had for years. These people that make these grand claims do so in hopes to gain our pity and martyr themselves and I’m just not buying it!
Tori’s new book, Mommywood goes on sale April 14th. While Candy Spellings first book Candy-Land will be released Tuesday March 31.
