Ashley Tisdale “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”

High School Musical’s Ashley Tisdale pays a visit to a very deserving family on this Sunday’s episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The 24-year-old starlet is taking part in the show’s “Get On The Bus Program,” in which celebrities volunteer to take part in the home building process.
Ashley traveled to Green County, Missouri to help the Hampton Family move out of a tiny 800 square foot cottage, where the clan of eight had been living together since the family took in four nieces and nephews who were in danger of ending up in foster care.
“When I saw the family and the reaction to the house I just, like, started tearing up,” Ashley explains. “It’s like this really great deserving family and then also you see like all these volunteers and their family members and their friends just all getting together helping them. It’s just such a great feeling to be part of that.”
Ashley recently moved into her own new home — built by her dad — and the actress was very hands-on in putting together the Hamptons estate. “I helped out a lot around the house. I did the floors in the entryway. I did a little of the designing of Hannah’s room, which is the little girl who was super excited to meet me. I also worked a little bit on the chicken coop in the back and the barn house as well.”

Ashley Tisdale: "It's Alright, It's OK!" Audio

Ashley Tisdale has just released her brand new single “It’s Alright, It’s OK!” The track premiered earlier this morning live with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS FM. Co-written by Swedish production team Twin, the song is a spunky break-up anthem about being single and in control of your life for the first time.
“I love break-up songs,” Tisdale says. “Everyone can relate to those moments when you need to vent your frustration about a previous relationship. ‘It’s Alright, It’s OK’ is about how you need to stand up for yourself and not let someone walk all over you; it’s a message I wanted to get across to other girls.”
An accompanying video to “It’s Alright, It’s OK” will premiere on MySpace’s on April 21st with feature support from such major online partners as AOL Music and Yahoo! Music, and MTV.com will premiere exclusive “making of the video” footage the week of the single’s release. Tisdale stars in the video with actor Adam Gregory (the CW’s 90210), who plays her ex-boyfriend. The clip was directed by Scott Speer, who has helmed previous videos for Tisdale as well as those from Jordin Sparks and David Archuleta.

In an interview with Shape Magazine February 2009, 23-year-old High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale serves up her secrets for maintaining a slender figure.
“I’ve found I’m definitely eating better since I started working out more rigorously. It kind of happened naturally. I don’t really crave junk food that often now.”
Ashley on Her Personal Trainer Christopher Hebert (with whom she’s been working with for about eight months): “He’s cute, which makes it fun, and he never lets our exercise session get boring.”
Ashley on Her Family’s History of Diabetes: “After I found out my grandfather has it and my mom is borderline, I knew I had to get serious about my diet too.”

I have to say I think Ashley Tisdale is under-rated! She is such a beautiful young actress that seems to have her head on straight- so refreshing!
It’s still early in the fame game for her but it looks like she’s pretty grounded.
