At 35, former Hooters Girl turned two-time Oscar-nominee Amy Adams is in no hurry to rush down the aisle with actor fiance Darren Le Gallo.
“We haven’t even started with the date,” the Julie & Julia star told Allure Magazine’s August 2009 issue, on newsstands July 21. “I’ve been really busy, and I feel like a horrible fiancee that I haven’t gotten swept up in the whole idea of a wedding. But I haven’t.”
The couple co-starred together in the 2006 film Pennies.
“I think he was patient for the first nine months, but now that we have been engaged for a year, he’s sort of, you know, ‘This is going to happen, right?’” she explained. “He understands I’m busy, but he’s ready. He’s much more ready for kids and stuff than I am.”
Looking back on her younger days, Amy said she wishes she hadn’t spent so much time pursuing the wrong types of men.
“When I look at my 20s, or when I look at any period in my life, I think about how much time I’ve wasted trying to find the right man. It’s like, if I could go back and do it again, I would have taken guitar lessons or something. I would have put my energy into something that paid off in the end, instead of trying to improve myself for men. Oh, the time and the energy, trying to impress somebody who was actually a big jerk, you know?”

I just watched the trailer for this and I am already looking forward to it’s release- If you liked Little Miss Sunshine chances are you are going to like this-
I personally Love love love Emily Blunt and Amy Adams as well as Steven Zahn so this combo really excites me, especially sense Steve is pretty much only in comedies where he plays the less intelligent or otherwise silly character -I look forward to checking out his performance -check out the trailer:
A single mom and her slacker sister find an unexpected way to turn their lives around in the off-beat dramatic comedy Sunshine Cleaning. Once the high school cheerleading captain who dated the quarterback, Rose Lorkowski (Academy Award nominee Amy Adams) now finds herself a thirty something single mother working as a maid. Her sister Norah, (Golden Globe winner Emily Blunt), is still living at home with their dad Joe (Academy Award winner Alan Arkin), a salesman with a lifelong history of ill-fated get rich quick schemes. Desperate to get her son into a better school, Rose persuades Norah to go into the crime scene clean-up business with her to make some quick cash.
