Salma Hayek Chooses ‘30Rock’ Over Honeymoon!

After surprising everyone with her Valentine’s Day wedding to Francois-Henri Pinault, the French billionaire/baby-daddy, Salma Hayek decided to do something strange for her honeymoon. She decided not to go on it. Can you imagine?
Instead, Salma showed up for work on “30 Rock” where she is playing a reoccurring guest star character who is a devout Catholic, a McDonalds-McFlurry-lover and Jack’s girlfriend. As a fan of “30 Rock”, I thank her!
Actress Salma Hayek skipped her honeymoon with new husband Francois-Henri Pinault - flying straight back from her Paris, France nuptials to shoot TV show “30 Rock”. The Frida star married her businessman partner on St. Valentine’s Day (14Feb09) in a romantic ceremony in the French capital.
But the couple was forced to postpone plans for a relaxing post-wedding break, as Hayek was due to film her guest spot on Tina Fey’s hit comedy series immediately afterwards.
The news was confirmed by Alec Baldwin, who plays Hayek’s love interest in the show: “She flew right from her wedding to come shoot with us again. Her husband is a doll.”
Series creator Fey adds, “(Hayek) spent her honeymoon working with us! She told me, ‘You must go the parties with me and elope! You must party with me!’”
Hayek originally announced her engagement to Pinault in March 2007, but they called off the wedding in July 2008. They are parents to 16-month-old daughter, Valentina.

It’s weird because after marrying a billionaire, I wouldn’t ever work another day again. It says something about Salma’s work ethic - and how much she believes in the show. Although, I imagine working on “30 Rock” is a hoot, so maybe it isn’t even like work. This whole non-honeymoon thing is silly because we all know in a short bit I’ll be uploading some new post on their “long awaited Honeymoon”… you just wait!

Grammy-nominated boy band The Jonas Brothers will make their Saturday Night Live debut on Valentine’s Day, performing live as the show’s musical guest for the evening.
Golden Globe-winning actor Alec Baldwin will be making his 14th guest appearance as host.

Meryl Streep To Make Guest Appearance On ‘30 Rock’

Silver screen legend Meryl Streep has agreed to make a guest appearance on alongside Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey on the hit NBC series 30 Rock.
According to the NY Daily News, Alec approached Streep at last Sunday night’s SAG winner and asked her to guest star on the award-winning show.
“Meryl was delighted with the idea of appearing on the show,” a SAG insider blabbed. “She said yes immediately.”
30 Rock won three awards at the 2009 SAG Awards, including Outstanding Actor Alec Baldwin, Outstanding Actress Tina Fey, and Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

Alec Baldwin Talks About His Alcoholism.

Alec Baldwin used to be a notorious drinker back in the day. In an essay in a new book about addiction called “Moments of Clarity,” by actor Christopher Kennedy Lawford, Baldwin admits that when he was starring on Knots Landing in 1984 and 1985, he was out of control. He spent most of his time drinking, drugging, and playing some video game called Galaga in an arcade warehouse. He’d even drink while he drove – and it took him a while to realize his behavior wasn’t normal and other people weren’t doing the same thing.
Alec Baldwin was on the Santa Monica Freeway with a plastic quart cup filled with chardonnay and ice between his legs. “I’m driving down the road, I’m having a drink,” Baldwin recalled of that day in 1983. “It’s 4 o’clock; I’m supposed to have a drink. But one day I went, ‘I don’t see anybody else in their car with a plastic take out container filled with ice and wine. They’re drinking coffee, they’re drinking Diet Coke. They’re not drinking wine.’ ”
Baldwin writes of his booze-soaked, drug- addled 20s, and the various self-revelations that finally led him to clean up. The “30 Rock” star describes the worst times of his addiction as the ” ‘Sixth Sense’ phase” - “when you’re dead but you don’t know it.”
He’d find himself in places where “sex, drugs, booze” flowed freely. “The room was full of people getting high and drinking and talking about all this bulls- - -. All those 3 a.m. conversations where everybody’s talking, urgently talking about something that doesn’t really matter.” Baldwin would end the night at an arcade warehouse playing “Galaga.”
“I would play video games from, like, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and I would wind down. Then I’d go home and go to bed,” Baldwin writes. “This was the only way I could go ‘beta’ and go into that state I needed to be, where I could calm down and take my mind off everything. I didn’t want to see anybody, talk to anybody, deal with anybody.”

Baldwin’s “moment of clarity” wasn’t as dramatic as you might think someone like him would need. It came when he saw the look on the face of the guy who ran the arcade. Apparently it was deep pity – as Baldwin put it, “‘Wow, I’m glad I’m not you.’” A little over a month before his 27th birthday, Baldwin joined AA. And he quotes a man who told him, “‘You never have to feel this way again if you don’t want to.’” The stories he tells are vivid and sad, and it’s clear Baldwin really was living like the walking dead during that time.
He’s obviously come a long way since then, and although he’s not a man without his demons, Baldwin seems to be reflective and willing to admit where he’s gone wrong.

Trouble In ‘30 Rock’: Alec Baldwin vs. Tina Fey

Don’t let the comic chemistry fool you, tension is rising between actress Tina Fey and her 30 Rock co-sar Alec Baldwin.
Chatty spywitnesses claim the Emmy-winning entertainers have repeatedly bumped heads behind the scenes of the hit NBC comedy in recent weeks. On set spies fear it’s only a matter of time before tempers reach their boiling point.
During a recent photo shoot on the set, the notoriously difficult actor sniped to the photographer, “Get ready to do a lot of airbrushing.” Tina, who has a childhood scar on her left cheek, fired back, “Something wrong with my face?” Alec upped the ante by saying it’s her entire body that’s the problem. “Tina shot back that this was coming from a guy with a double chin who thinks Sarah Palin is hot,” says a set source. “Alec was steamed about it the rest of the day and had words with Tina about it later.”

I for one hope this is only a rumor but with Alec’s history I could easily see this being true. This is one of my favorite shows- if they are having ‘issues’ they better resolve them without tainting the comedy!

Alec Baldwin Says Kissing Jennifer Aniston For ‘30 Rock’ was ‘Painful’

Alec Baldwin describes kissing actress Jennifer Aniston during her recent guest appearance on his Emmy-winning NBC comedy, 30 Rock, as “painful.”
Baldwin’s character, Jack Donagh, had to smooch the actress’ stalker alter ego Claire Harper, but the 50-year-old actor laments the liplock was not as enjoyable as he had imagined it would be.
“It was painful,” he jokes in this week’s edition of New York Magazine. “I mean, every man who’s had to make out with her in TV and movies - I don’t know how they do it!”
