Rev Run's Son JoJo Arrested On Drug Charges

According to the NYDN, JoJo Simmons, oldest son of legendary rapper, Joseph “Run” Simmons of RUN-DMC was arrested on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Friday night for purchasing an unconfirmed amount of Marijuana.
Jojo was behind the wheel of his BMW, which has “JoJo” embroidered on the head rests, rolling a joint when the narcotics officers came up and knocked on his window.
At that point sources claim he attempted to put the vehicle in reverse and escape from the scene almost strking a NYPD vehicle.
Simmons was charged with criminal use of drug paraphernalia, possession of Marijuana, resisting arrest and attempted reckless endangerment. The attempted reckless endangerment charge was dropped by a judge yesterday-the charge would carry a felony sentence.
Though a statement has yet to be released from the Simmons Family, Rev Run issued a short message regarding the matter via his Twitter pager, “You can learn many things from your Children.. (Patience for instance! 
”.
JoJo’s older sister Vanessa also made a statement via her Twitter page playing down the charges “As humans, we all make mistakes … they make up your life lessons and experiences … Jojo is ok, he just made a oops …”
I’ve made my fair share of ‘Oops’ in my life- but thankfully none of those included me running from the police!

O.J. Simpson Finally Found GUILTY!!!!!

Even though its not the verdict we wish we had heard years ago when he stood trial for the brutal stabbing deaths of his then ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, I’m happy to hear it none-the-less.
O.J.’s verdict came late last night after the jury deliberating found O.J. guilty on all 12 counts he was charged with.- Here is an interesting fact, O.J. was found guilty 13 years to the day of his acquittal from the murders of Nicole and Ron.
Eerie right? That’s like poetic justice- I really feel that it was a terrible terrible injustice that O.J. was not found guilty 13 years ago- butat least today at 61 there is a chance he will go to jail for the rest of his life- O.J. will be sentenced Dec. 5th, and I really hope the judge throws the book at him.
The jury of nine men and three women, none of them African-American, began deliberations Friday after hearing from 22 witnesses over 12 days of testimony. Chief among the witnesses were seven of the nine people inside Room 1203 of the Palace Station Hotel and Casino for the September 13, 2007 confrontation.
The evidence included testimony from the two dealers, four co-defendants who cut plea deals and cooperated with prosecutors and hours of often-profane, crackling, secretly recorded audiotapes.
Prosecutors alleged that the men, led by Simpson, burst into the room, flashed a gun and threatened memorabilia dealers Bruce Fromong and Al Beardsley.
The men then filled two pillowcases with Simpson trinkets, signed Pete Rose baseballs and Joe Montana lithographs. Simpson’s defense attorneys maintained their client was merely trying to retrieve personal photographs and other mementos that belonged to him.

You have to love the Judge in this case too- Attorneys for Simpson asked if he could be released pending sentencing, Judge Glass quickly denied. Then O.J.’s attorneys announced their intention to appeal the verdicts, asking Judge Glass for an extension on the deadline for filing the appeal, which he also denied!

IRS Gone Wild!!

Joe Francis is set to go to trial in September, he is facing federal charges that he deducted $20 million in fraudulent expenses on the corporate tax returns filed by his company, Mantra Films.
If Joe is found Guilty he could be facing 10 years in the Clink as well as $500,000 in fines.
If Joe is found innocent it still wont be over. The IRS will likely then come after him for back taxes as well as penalties and interest, but thats nothing a few photo happy drunk 18 year old girls cant help him cover.
