Dane Cook Refers To Brothers Embezzlement "A Terrible Betrayal"

On CNN’s Larry King Live Thursday, comedian Dane Cook confessed that he felt a sense of “terrible betrayal” after he learned his half brother was suspected of embezzling millions of dollars from him.
Last December, Darryl McCauley, 43, was arraigned in Massachusetts on charges of embezzling approximately $10 million from his entertainer brother. Prosecutors allege that McCauley stole the money from Cook while being paid $12,500 a month to act as Cook’s business manager as part of his company, Great Dane Enterprises, Inc.
“I worked with my only half brother for several years,” Cook said. “Woke up one day and a lot of stuff was missing. There is a good chunk of money that is certainly not accounted for. That’s all I can say about it at this point.”
Darryl has pleaded not guilty and is currently in jail awaiting trial.

Britney Spears Personal Journal & Video Diaries Allegedly Stolen

Britney Spears’ secret diaries, which chronicle never-before-heard details of the singer’s year-long emotional breakdown, have been stolen, a new tabloid report claims.
According to a scoop featured in this week’s edition of The National Enquirer, the 27-year-old pop star’’s handwritten journals and video diaries have disappeared from her Beverly Hills home.
“Britney is in a panic over the stolen journals and video interviews done during some of the darkest days of her life….”
If this is legit and it really happened Britney must be in a tailspin of anxiety right now. I can only imagine the damming and destructive material that would be on those tapes. Although, somehow its hard for me to believe that Britney was able to keep up with a journal during that time.

Dane Cook's Half-Brother Robs His Fortune.

A 43-year-old Wilmington man allegedly stole millions of dollars while working as the business manager for the comedian and actor Dane Cook.
Darryl McCauley, who is Cook’s half-brother, is facing charges of larceny over $250, larceny by continuous scheme, and forgery.
The attorney general’s office announced the charges against McCauley this afternoon without identifying the “national entertainer with local ties” he allegedly bilked.
McCauley allegedly stole the money from July 2007 to this month, at one point forging a $3 million check from his client’s account to himself, the attorney general’s office said.
WOW! People are greedy unfortunately that includes family members…

Bonnie Somerville Mugged at Gun Point- Friend Shot!!

A good friend of Bonnie Somerville was shot in the back at a Hollywood party last night.
Somerville (the girl who played Ross’ GF Mona on “Friends”) was leaving a T-Mobile party on Sunset Blvd. just after 2 AM with her friend when, according to our law enforcement sources, “a man came out of nowhere from behind with a gun.”
We’re told the gunman demanded her purse, she began to scream, a struggle ensued and the suspect shot Somerville’s friend in the back.
The picture you see of Bonnie was taken at the event, just hours before the shooting.
We don’t know his condition. The suspect, a black male who appeared to be in his teens, is still on the loose.
UPDATE: TMZ has spoken with the man who called 911. He says Somerville told cops after her friend was shot the suspect said, “Bitch, gimme your purse or you’ll get shot too.”
Somerville gave up her purse. Somerville told cops the suspect escaped in a vehicle with several other men. She thought the weapon was a BB gun, but a nearby valet said it was a .22. The witness told us the friend was shot in his lower right back.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ it was a “small caliber bullet” and that the victim was “alert and awake” and taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood.

The Beckhams Had Thieves Working For Them!

A man and woman who were part of the housekeeping staff working at David and Victoria Beckham’s English home, better known as Beckingham Palace, were arrested Friday on suspicion of theft. Victoria’s parents saw items up for auction online that looked familiar to them, so they went to the Sawbridgeworth home currently unoccupied by their daughter and family and found the same items missing.
The Beckhams currently reside in Los Angeles, where David plays for the LA Galaxy team, and employ a retinue of staff to tend the Sawbridgeworth property while they are away. The seven-bedroom house, known as ‘Beckingham Palace’, cost the couple £2.5 million in 1999 and they have spent millions more turning it into their dream home.
A source said that Mrs Beckham’s parents, Tony and Jackie Adams, recognised the allegedly stolen items immediately because many of them were unique.
“They were most personal and sentimental items collected by Victoria and David during their time abroad. Some of the things were given to them as presents and are unique because they were specially made for them. They include mostly small but expensive trinkets and some pieces which were on decorative display. Together they add up to quite a high value,” the source said.
“It seems that the property was being offered on the website to the highest bidder – and obviously it may have had the Beckham pedigree attached.”
