Mock Memoir On Sarah Palin, ‘Going Rogue: An American Nightmare’ Set To Release Same Day As Her Memoir, ‘Going Rogue: An American Life’
Posted on 27. Oct, 2009 by CSS.

A parody of former Republican Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s eagerly-awaited memoir is set to be released the same day her real autobiography hits booksellers’ shelves next month.
With a nearly identical cover photo, Going Rouge: An American Nightmare looks strikingly similar to the planned cover of the Alaska governor’s Going Rogue: An American Life.
The mock memoir, compiled by the left-wing editors of Nation Magazine, “examines Palin’s quirky origins in Wasilla, Alaska, her spectacular rise to the effective leadership of the Republican Party, and the nightmarish prospect of her continuing to dominate the nation?s political scene,” OR Books said on its website.
Palin’s memoir, published by HarperCollins, has an initial print run set at 1.5 million copies, and is an early bestseller on Amazon.com.
Both books are set for release on November 17.

Sarah Palin Memoir Spring 2010
Posted on 13. May, 2009 by CSS.

The Sarah Palin’s life story is on its way to a bookseller’s shelf near you.
The Alaska governor and former GOP Vice-Presidential candidate has signed on with HarperCollins to publish a memoir about her childhood in Alaska and the political career that thrust her into the spotlight during last year’s vice-presidential campaign.
“In fairness to my family, this is going be a good opportunity for them, too, because there have been so many misperceptions out there about who we are and what we believe in, and I’m excited to get to put my journalism degree to work and tell my story as it relates to my family,” Gov. Palin told The Associated Press on Tuesday.
Sarah Palin’s memoir is due out in spring 2010.

Susan Boyle Declined Invite To The White House Correspondents Dinner
Posted on 11. May, 2009 by CSS.

Susan Boyle turned down a chance to meet President Barack Obama.
The Britain’s Got Talent singing sensation was invited to the White House Correspondents’, a star-studded $200-a-ticket black-tie event that supports the needy and helps fund journalism scholarships. Saturday night’s affair at the Washington Hilton welcomed such celebs as Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Stephen Spielberg –but Susan had to say no.
A rep for the reality competition says Susan “was invited by numerous networks… to be a guest at the event,” but that show rules prevented her from attending.
“None of the acts are allowed to go [overseas] for any events until the show is over so we had to decline on her behalf,” the rep said.
The 48-year-old Scottish church volunteer wowed the world with her jaw-dropping performance of the Les Misérables song “I Dreamed a Dream” on the UK talent show last month.
A Susan source tells News of the World: “She was shocked and thrilled by the invite…She knows she would have been incredibly nervous if she’d gone. But her dream is to sing for President Obama one day. She loves him and thinks he is already a terrific president.”
Susan Boyle will appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show today, May 11.

Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes White House Correspondents Dinner
Posted on 10. May, 2009 by CSS.

Making the trip to the nation’s capitol, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes hit up the White House Correspondents Dinner in Washington DC on Saturday night (May 9).
Joining a star-studded guest list, the “Top Gun” stud and his “Mad Money” wife kindly greeted fans and posed for pictures as they made their way inside the swanky affair.
TomKat joined fellow celebrities including Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, Alicia Keys, Eva Longoria, Whoopi Goldberg and Sting, among many others turning up at the White House for the night’s festivities.
Last night comedian Wanda Sykes gave an extremely partisan performance at the Dinner, where she roasted just about everyone in Washington-you can see for yourself below:
The part sparking particular scorn would be in the second video when Wanda bashes Rush Limbaugh as an extra terrorist in the 9/11 tragedies.

Posted on 13. Apr, 2009 by CSS.

Fergie has just been announced as one of the guest performers at the 2009 White House Easter Egg Roll.
The theme for this year’s event is “Let’s Go Play,” and activities will be focused on teaching children the importance of exercise and exciting ways to stay active.
More than 30,000 guests have been invited to this year’s event which includes music performances, storytelling, and of course the Easter egg roll.
Click here to see the full schedule of Easter Monday events taking place at The White House.
I think it’s interesting that Fergie’s husband Josh Duhamel is also helping out today. He will be part of the Storytime Stage where he will be reading to the children. (By the way The White House spelled his last name incorrect!)

Barack Obama Movie Following The Election Of President Barack Obama
Posted on 09. Apr, 2009 by CSS.
Sony Pictures is developing a movie, By The People: The Election of Barack Obama, about Barack Obama’s historic election as the first African-American president of the United States.
Wouldn’t it be more poignant to make the movie after President Barack Obama’s term in office? I mean then you would really have some stories to tell and you could start with the election of course- but to make a movie just geared around his election process seems a little slim to me…just my opinion though!

Kal Penn Left 'House' For The White House!
Posted on 08. Apr, 2009 by CSS.

Kal Penn has left the award-winning Fox series House for a new position at The White House.
Kal will be the associate director in the White House’s Office of Public Liaison & Intergovernmental Affairs — a similar job he had while campaigning for Obama last year, the actor explained in an interview with Entertainment Weekly on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old actor is perhaps best known for his character Dr. Kutner, who committed suicide on Monday night’s edition of House. Kal says he decided to leave the show so he could spend time working on his newfound passion.
“I was incredibly honored a couple of months ago to get the opportunity
to go work in the White House. I got to know the president and some of the staff during the campaign and had expressed interest in working there, so I’m going to be the associate director in the White House Office of Public Liaison,” Penn said.
The actor’s new position will focus on doing outreach activities to help connect the general public and The White House. “I’ve been thinking about [moving into politics] for a while. I love what I do as an actor. I couldn’t love it more. But probably from the time I was a kid, I really enjoyed that balance between the arts and public service.”
I am a huge House fan and was shocked to see his character killed off Monday night- However, the reason behind his premature departure is incredibly cool! Congrats Kal!!.
