Shiloh died Friday afternoon at Maine Medical Center, hospital spokesman John Lamb told The Associated Press. She had been hospitalized in critical condition since last week.

Little Shiloh’s health battles took her to The Oprah Show and TLC. Just last month, Shiloh sat down with Oprah and said she didn’t mind being called “mermaid girl” and let the world know she had no interest in getting her legs separated.

An organization founded by Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey has reached out to a Washington Redskins cheerleader left disabled by a seasonal flu shot.

Doctors say Desiree Jennings suffers from a rare neurological disorder as a result a flu shot
she received earlier this year. The condition is called dystonia, and affects nearly every aspect of her daily life by prompting frequent seizures.

McCarthy’s 7-year-old son Evan is autistic. She founded Generation Rescue along with BF Jim to educate people about ways to reverse autism, including raising awareness over the safety of vaccines including flu shots.

“They have been extremely helpful,” Desiree says of Generation Rescue. “They have a lot of doctors that deal with vaccine interactions, and they have sent us so many other stories similar to mine. Unfortunately a lot of theirs are with children, which is worse. I can understand it happening to an adult, but not a little child that hasn’t had a chance to live their life and can’t speak, so I want to speak. They can’t, and I want to help them, too.”

Did you know that Ozzy Osbourne was once diagnosed HIV positive? The results were wrong, of course, but the Black Sabbath legend was told he had contracted the deadly virus, until further investigation revealed the results were due to the damage drug and alcohol abuse had caused.

“When I used to get f*ng loaded I would get myself into all kinds of situations,” Ozzy explains in an interview with the November issue of Glamour UK. “It turns out that because I was drinking and using drugs so much, my immune system had dropped so that it was a borderline result. When I went back to be tested again it was negative.”
