Latest Update In The Death Of A.J. Jewell Ex-Fiance To Kandi Burruss, “The Real Housewives Of Atlanta”

The ex-fiance of “Housewives” star Kandi Burruss was walking and talking after the fight that led to his death.
Initial reports made it seem like Ashley “A.J.” Jewell was left for dead after the fight — which occurred outside of a strip club in Atlanta on Friday night — but law enforcement sources say that wasn’t the case.
Witnesses told authorities A.J. was walking and talking after the fight — and he didn’t even take an ambulance to the hospital, instead hitching a ride with one of his friends.
Suspect Fredrick Richardson is being held without bail and has been charged with voluntary manslaughter.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office says A.J.’s body showed evidence of a physical altercation — and they’re trying to determine the extent of those injuries while also looking to see if there “was another cause of death.”
The M.E.’s Office also says contrary to other reports, there were no stab wounds found on Jewell’s body.
Fredrick Richardson is being represented by Atlanta defense attorney Dennis Scheib.
Here’s what the AJC had to say about yesterday’s court appearance:
Richardson, his right fingers in a cast, said little during his first court appearance Tuesday morning.
Coming into the jail courtroom, Richardson waived to his 70-year-old mother and one of three children sitting in the rear, behind a glass partition. He spoke only to acknowledged to the judge that he understood the charges against him and that he had an attorney.
While waiting for the hearing to start, Scheib told reporters Jewell started the dispute with Richardson, the general manager at the club since May.
Scheib said Jewell was stretched out on Richardson’s sofa in his office “with a gun” beside him earlier in the day Friday.
Richardson said to Jewell “‘what are you doing?’ He [Jewell] said ‘I’ve got something for you,’” Scheib said.
According to Richardson, Scheib said, Jewell then pulled back the slide on the handgun.
Later in the parking lot, “A.J. comes out and says ‘I’ve got something for you.’ He takes off his shirt.. and hits Richardson twice,” Scheib said.
The two exchange blows and then Richardson leaves the parking lot. He went to the hospital to have his broken index finger treated. Scheib said. As Richardson was driving out of the parking lot, “A.J. was walking away. He wasn’t beaten to death,” Scheib said.
Jewell died later that night at Piedmont Hospital
“We don’t know what killed him,” Scheib said, complaining that a manslaughter charge is premature.
Scheib said Jewell may have had a health problem that caused his death.
Detectives said the deadly argument apparently came out of a slight and a disagreement over the club.
“They had some words about a business decision,” said Lt. Keith Meadows, head of the Atlanta Police Department’s homicide unit. “It seems like there was a struggle for power over the club.”
Fredrick is due back in court on October 20.
It is going to be very interesting to hear all the facts come out in this case. From the argument Fredrick’s attorney is making, it appears Jewell may have been the cause of his own fate.
On a sidenote: The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion show was set to tape today-no word on if that has been postponed or how involved Kandi will be.
**AJ’s funeral will be held Friday at the Ray of Hope Christian Church on Snapfinger Road in DeKalb County. The time has not yet been determined. A visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Donald Trimble Mortuary in Decatur.

Erin Andrews Thanks Law Enforcement For Catching Stalker Michael David Barrett

ESPN reporter Erin Andrews has issued a statement thanking Assistant United States Attorney Wes Hsu and Special Agents for their “dedicated service” in arresting a reporter accused of filming the reporter without her knowledge or consent on multiple occasions while she was staying in hotels around the country.
Michael David Barrett was arrested on a charge of interstate stalking at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport on Friday night. The Chicago-area man is charged with filming surreptitious nude videos of Andrews and later trying to sell them to TMZ.
“I hope that today’s action will help the countless others who have been similarly victimized,” Andrews said in a statement Sunday. “I will make every effort to strengthen the laws on a state and federal level to better protect victims of criminal stalking. I am also grateful to those who have expressed their concerns and good wishes for my family and me.”
Erin’s attorney, Marshall Grossman, credits the lady herself for the advancement in this case: “She has worked side by side with law enforcement to reconstruct the events and provide leads which have led directly to [Friday's] action.”
Mark David Barrett, a 47-year-old Chicago man will be arraigned later today.

Michael David Barrett Arrested For Making Video Tapes of Erin Andrews In Her Hotel Room

A Chicago-area man accused of taking nude videos of ESPN reporter Erin Andrews in a hotel room and then putting them on the Internet was arrested at Chicago’s O’Hare airport Friday night, the FBI said in a statement Saturday.
Michael David Barrett, 48, has been slapped with federal charges of interstate stalking for taking the videos, posting the videos online and trying to sell them to celebrity website TMZ.com, according to federal officials.
Barrett, of Westmont, Ill., was arrested after returning from a trip to Buffalo, N.Y., authorities said.
Seven of the eight videos posted online were taken through a modified door peephole while Andrews was alone and undressed in hotel rooms in Nashville, Tenn., in September 2008. Investigators believe the eighth video was taken in a hotel in Milwaukee in July 2008.
FBI agents believe Barrett requested a Nashville hotel room next to Andrews’ and rigged the door’s peephole.
Erin Andrews has covered hockey, college football, college basketball and Major League Baseball as a sideline reporter for ESPN since 2004.

Shawne Merriman Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Tila Tequila

Authorities in San Diego say San Diego Chargers star linebacker Shawne Merriman has been arrested on suspicion of choking and restraining MySpace vixen turned TV reality star Tila Tequila, as she tried to leave his Southern California home.
San Diego County Sheriff’s Lt. Gary Steadman says Tila Tequila, 27, placed a distress call from a home in Poway, north of San Diego, early Sunday. Her boyfriend, Merriman, was later charged with battery and false imprisonment.
A lawyer for Merriman has denied all charges against his sport-star client, insisting he was simply trying to prevent an “extremely inebriated” Tequila from traveling home when he didn’t deem it safe for her to do so alone.
“During the evening, Ms. Tequila was extremely intoxicated, inebriated and Mr. Merriman did everything he could to assist her in arranging for transportation to leave his home,” Todd Macaluso, Merriman’s attorney, said in a statement Sunday. “At no time did Mr. Merriman assault her; at no time did Mr. Merriman keep her against her will. His intentions were nothing but good.”
Tila was taken to a hospital following the incident. She began dating Merriman in July, sparking a bitter feud with his former flame, hip-hop video vixen Gloria Velez. The petite minx, whose real name is Tila Nguyen, is best known for her MTV dating reality show, ‘A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila.’
Shawne Merriman has since released this statement to FoxSports.com:
“On September 6, 2009 the San Diego Sheriff’s Department responded to a citizen’s complaint that was initiated by Tila Nguyen (aka Tila Tequila). I was taken into custody based upon that complaint. At the time, I was concerned about her welfare given the intoxicated state she appeared to be in and I encouraged her to stay until safe transportation could be provided.
“We would all do our best to help a friend if we considered their actions to be detrimental to their personal safety. I in no way caused any harm to Ms. Nguyen, however, paramedics were called and she was examined but no injuries were reported. She was released and has since returned to Los Angeles, California.
“There have been no charges filed against me. I want to thank the San Diego Sheriff’s Department for their professionalism. I will continue to cooperate fully with the Department, and I look forward to clearing my name regarding these false allegations. I want to put this behind me so I can continue to focus on a successful season for the San Diego Chargers.”
Tila took to her Twitter Account to rebut the linebacker’s statement by typing:
“I am allergic to alcohol. It has been publicly known for years. That is how I got the name Tila “Tequila” cuz the irony. I cant drink”

Comedian Robert Schimmel Arrested For Beating His Wife

Comedian and Howard Stern show regular Robert Schimmel was arrested early Saturday for alleged spousal abuse of his young wife Melissa Schimmel.
Robert Schimmel is best known for x-rated blue humor, as well as his survival of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He apparently went through a mid life crisis after surviving the disease, as he divorced his first wife Vicki (for the third time) and married Melissa who is half his age.
Schimmel is the author of “Cancer on $5 a Day” and frequently appears on Stern and the Conan O’Brien show.

Lindsay Lohan Arrest Warrant Issued By Beverly Hills PD

Lindsay needs to lay off the drugs and get it together! This poor girl is completely delusional!!
According to multiple reports, Lohan is wanted by the PoPo!
An arrest warrant was reportedly issued by the Beverly Hills Police Department in connection with her 2007 DUI arrest, for which she is still on probation.
Specific details of why the arrest was issued are not known yet – but some reports claim it is due to a probation violation (failing a drug test or not attending alcohol education classes, etc, etc).
The arrest warrant has reportedly been issued for $50,000.
Yet, despite these multiple reports, Lohan herself is denying that the police are after her! (Enter Delusion!!)
In an exclusive statement to PerezHilton.com, Lindsay says,
“This warrant for my arrest is completely fabricated and its a horrendous lie. This will make me loose every single deal that I have right now. Its horrible.”

The Beverly Hills Police department has confirmed Lohan’s arrest.
In a statement, they say, “In response to media inquiries, [the] Beverly Hills Police Department is confirming a warrant was in fact issued for the arrest of Lindsay Lohan. The $50,000 warrant issued by the Beverly Hills Superior Court stems from a May 2007 arrest of Miss Lohan for DUI and hit-and-run. The circumstances leading to the issuance of the warrant by the court are not readily available at this time. It is our hope that Miss Lohan will surrender herself so that this matter will be resolved in a timely manner.”
I can’t wait to see Lindsay’s new mugshot, it will be the Lohan Skeletor Mugshot Edition! Hopefully they will drug test her upon arrival- if she takes a while to turn herself in- we will all know why!!

Linda Hogan Using Death Threat Against Victims Mom As Her PR Oppurtunity

ohn Graziano was left in a permanent vegetative state with literally part of his skull missing after Hulk and Linda Hogan’s son, Nick, got in a car accident in August, 2007 when drunk and drag racing on a public street. Instead of expressing their remorse that their son so carelessly endangered his passenger’s life and left him irreparably damaged, Nick and Linda issued a statement that John wasn’t wearing his seatbelt. The Hogan family continued to talk smack about the victim afterwards, calling him a negative person and making obnoxious statements that the accident was God’s will.
Nick spent a measley 166 days in jail after pleading guilty to reckless driving, which many, including myself- thought it was not enough. He’s out now and the first thing he did was head to Vegas to celebrate.
Victim John Graziano’s father is now under police custody after cops caught him in a sting trying to hire someone to kill his wife, John’s mom. The idiot paid an undercover cop $2,100 plus a $13 pizza gift card to kill his wife in a car accident. Yup, he went ahead and chipped in a pizza gift card to up the anty!
Today, I received an e-mail from Linda Hogan’s PR person informing me about this, with a completely unnecessary statement from Linda. She also used it as an opportunity to slam the family. According to a local newspaper, Linda is also claiming that she was threatened by this guy, which police of course can’t confirm:

“Any threat from Ed Graziano would and is being taken very seriously. We all prey [sic] for John’s recovery. This kind of behavior is why John turned to us as a loving family and we made him one of our own. God Bless John.” Linda Bollea
News report, in which Linda claims she’s being threatened too:
Clearwater, Florida — Ed Graziano is behind bars accused of trying to hire someone to kill his wife. But Linda Bollea apparently believes Graziano wanted to hurt her too.
Bollea’s publicist tells 10 Connects “people around the case” have told Hulk Hogan’s estranged wife Graziano also made threats aimed at Bollea. After hearing about the possible threats Bollea’s publicist described her as “scared to death.”
Bollea issued a statement Thursday night saying “Any threat from Ed Graziano would and is being taken very seriously.”
A spokesperson for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office could not confirm the alleged threats aimed at Bollea, but they did detail Graziano’s apparent attempt to kill his wife.
Authorities say Graziano paid $1,100 in cash, a $1,000 personal check and a $13.06 Westshore Pizza gift card to have his wife murdered. According to detectives, Graziano wanted his wife killed in a car accident.
A tipster told officials about Ed Graziano’s plan and an under-cover detective posed as a “go-between” to a “hit-man” as they investigated the case. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office learned about the plot in December and also notified Debra Graziano as a precaution.
Thursday, Ed Graziano was arrested at his home in Palm Harbor and later booked into the Pinellas County jail. He’s expected to make his first court appearance on Friday.
On August 26th, 2007 Ed and Debra Graziano’s son John was seriously injured in a car crash with Hogan’s son Nick Bollea.
STFU Linda Hogan! Your son and your family caused this family enough pain and suffering with your careless actions and words. Now that they’re going through more problems, you want to rub it in!
Linda never should have issued a statement about something that didn’t concern her. Now she’s only made this story get national attention and brought more shame on that family. What a nasty piece of work that woman is.

Celebutante Nicky Hilton made a citizen’s arrest after an early breakfast at a West Hollywood
IHOP turned ugly over the weekend.
Nicky was leaving the International House of Pancakes on Santa Monica Blvd. just before 5 AM on Saturday when Michael Broadhurst, a 50-year-old homeless man, allegedly pushed her from behind.
Nicky wasn’t hurt, but she was extremely shaken by the encounter, authorities say.
“One of our deputies was at the IHOP, having a coffee break, and noticed a waitress run outside because there was a commotion,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore confirmed Monday.
“…She’s OK, but she was desirous of prosecution. She said, ‘I am placing you under citizen’s arrest!’”
Broadhurst has been ordered to appear in court on battery charges April 21.

Rihanna Identified As Chris Brown's Assault Victim: Brown Charged With Felony Assault

Chris Brown, 19, has been charged with alleged felony battery with a woman who has now been identified as his 20-year-old girlfriend, pop star Rihann, TMZ.com has learned.
According to Splash News chaos broke out between the young couple after the “Umbrella” star accused Chris of cheating.
“They were arguing. Apparently, Rihanna accused him of checking out other women at Clive Davis’ party. It seems she’s taking the steps you’d need to take if you were going to press charges. But she could wake up tomorrow morning and decide she still loves him.”
Rihanna was later spotted crying in the emergency room at Cedars-Sinai, a blabbing spy tells RadarOnline.
“Rihanna was clearly very upset by what had happened and I could hear her screaming. Rihanna was trying to get her point across about something, she sounded like she was crying as she tried to get to put her point across.”
Chris Brown is a punk! You don’t ever solve your problems with violence! TMZ has learned that the charge is assault with a deadly weapon- I wonder what he had?!
Update:
Law enforcement sources tell us even though the police report in the Chris Brown arrest refers to assault with a deadly weapon, there was no weapon involved in the alleged attack.

Looks like karma’s caught up with this chameleon.
Eighties pop icon Boy George was snapped wandering the streets of London bloated and disoriented on Wednesday.
On Friday, George will be sentenced on his conviction for falsely imprisoning a male escort in 2007. He faces a possible life sentence.
