ESPN Fires Steve Phillips, Phillips Has Reportedly Entered Rehab
Posted on 26. Oct, 2009 by CSS.

Baseball analyst Steve Phillips was fired by ESPN on Sunday night, less than a week after he admitted having an affair with a “delusional” production assistant at the network.
Phillips, 46, joined ESPN in 2004 and this year was promoted to provide commentary on the network’s Sunday Night Baseball broadcast. On Thursday, Phillips announced that he was taking a leave of absence from the network following reports that he had become romantically involved with ESPN production assistant Brooke Hundley(pictured above), who recently began stalking Phillips’ family.
“Despite the fact that she has been spoken to by a police detective, I have extreme concerns about the health and safety of my wife, my kids and myself,” Phillips said.
A spokesperson for ESPN released the following statement to The Insider on Sunday night: “[Phillips'] ability to be an effective representative for ESPN has been significantly and irreparably damaged, and it became evident it was time to part ways.”
After the July affair ended, Brooke repeatedly called and followed Steve’s wife, Marni, and also left her a letter describing intimate locations of Phillips’ birthmarks. She also allegedly stalked his teenage son on Facebook, asking him about his parents’ love life. Marni Phillips filed for divorce on Sept. 14.
A rep for the former New York Mets General Manager has announced that the baseball analyst is entering a treatment facility following reports that he had an affair with Hundley. In 1998, Phillips sparked a massive lawsuit against the Mets after having another affair with team employee, Rosa Rodriguez.

EX- Ralph Lauren Model Fired For Being ‘Over-Weight’ Filippa Hamilton Speaks Out
Posted on 15. Oct, 2009 by CSS.

Filippa Hamilton has allegedly been fired from Ralph Lauren for being too fat. Take a look at her pictures here and let us know if you think she should have been let go:

Hamilton went on the Today Show today to talk about being fired. Apparently she’s 5′10, 120 pounds, which shows just how distorted the modeling industry really is if that’s viewed as large. Filippa claimed to be a size four and says she was fired because she couldn’t fit into designer’s clothes anymore.
Ralph Lauren of course denies it all, saying “We consider her an important part of our imaging and branding,” the designer said in a statement to the media. “We regret that our relationship has ended as a result of her inability to meet the obligations under her contract with us.” Which kind of sounds like his way of confirming the story, since being too large would count as not being able to meet her obligations.

Actress Jane Adams Cost Waiter Jon-Barrett Ingels His Job After She Wronged Him
Posted on 07. Oct, 2009 by CSS.
A Hollywood waiter claims venting about an encounter with “Hung” star Jane Adams on Twitter cost him his job at a popular eatery in Tinseltown.
Jon-Barrett Ingels, a 31-year-old struggling actor, claims Adams, who plays Tanya on the HBO series, visited celebrity haunt Barney Greengrass — the cafe on the fifth floor of Barneys New York in Beverly Hills — in July and “skipped out on a $13.75 check.”
In an interview with The Los Angeles Times’ Brand X Column, Ingels claims he recounted the episode in a series of postings on his Twitter page earlier this summer — ultimately resulting in his firing.
Jon-Barrett says when he dropped off the check, Jane claimed she had forgotten her wallet in her car and asked if she could go out and grab it. He obliged, but the actress pulled a “dine and dash” and never returned.
“Tues: Jane Adams, star of HBO series ‘Hung’ skipped out on a $13.75 check. Her agent called and payed [sic.] the following day. NO TIP!!!”
“Her agent called and payed (sic) the following day. NO TIP!!!” he wrote on July 17. “Not a big deal to me financially but the principle of the thing was ridiculous. I put my neck on the line by letting her leave without paying and end up getting screwed,” he later blogged.
Ingels said Adams returned to the restaurant approximately a month later and “slapped three dollar bills on the table in front of him.”
Barney’s made the corporate decision to terminate Jon-Barrett after five years of employment after reading his Tweets about “Dine & Dash” Jane.
“I understand they want to keep a safe environment for the celebrities and I think that I broke that safety,” he told AOL’s Slashfood. “Had they come to me and said you need to take this down or change it to private, had I been told if you don’t do this, you’re going to lose your job — I would’ve done that.”

Johnny Depp May Not Film The Fourth “Pirates Of The Caribbean” Due To Disney Chief Executive Dick Cook Being Let Go
Posted on 22. Sep, 2009 by CSS.

Johnny Depp may not appear in the next Pirates of the Caribbean film, the Oscar-nominated actor has revealed.
Following the departure of Disney chief executive Dick Cook last Friday, Johnny has decided he will have to wait to see the script for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides before he will commit to the movie.
Johnny – who has played the lead role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the previous three installments of the pirate adventure trilogy – says he was “shocked and very sad” about the news when Dick phoned to tell him he was leaving. Original franchise cast members Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley have already parted ways with Pirates.
“There’s a fissure, a crack in my enthusiasm at the moment,” he explains. “He is the utmost gentleman, so he made the call himself. He didn’t give me a reason. I didn’t see this coming. There was no reason to see this coming.”
Johnny credits Dick with convincing him to sign on for Pirates of the Caribbean in the first place.
“He’s instantly trustworthy. And you generally don’t meet people at the studios you trust. He’s a rare beast.”

Nicollette Sheridan Speaks Out About Her Departure From 'Desperate Housewives'
Posted on 14. Apr, 2009 by CSS.

Former Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan says that killing off her character, the vampy Edie Britt, could have “devastating ramifications” on the award-winning ABC dramedy.
“I think whoever Edie represented in Marc’s [show creator Marc Cherry] life was somebody he didn’t like. And he had a very difficult time distinguishing between fact and fiction,” the star says in a new interview with TVGuide
“[Killing off Edie] was a risky decision that could have devastating ramifications.”
Nicollette says her run on D.H. started out exciting, but the fun began to fizzle out several seasons ago: “When the show started it was such a different beast. It was exciting and dangerous and funny and edgy and bizarre. It started feeling a little complacent, and that was very frustrating.”
“I said, ‘OK, sayonara. It’s been a great ride. Thank you,” she says of her final hurrah on Desperate.
Series creator Marc Cherry says Nicollette’s exit is simply a money matter. Marc claims Desperate Housewives has been having financial troubles and cutting Nicollette from the cast will save the show $100-$200,000 an episode.
“There has been tremendous pressure put on me to cut costs…the network is saying to all the shows, ‘The company is really hurting financially. You must find a way to produce these shows more cheaply,’” he tells TVGuide
“Edie already slept with most of the guys on the street and has caused about as many problems as she could. … We will find a new kind of sexiness coming through Wisteria Lane,” he added. “What I won’t do is cast another fortysomething sexy blonde. … [Nicollette] performed the aging neighborhood tramp better than anyone has ever done before.”

It’s a done deal for Jessica Simpson’s recording career.

The singer’s name and information no longer appears on either the Columbia Nashville or Sony Music Nashville websites. Even Jessica’s artist page, featuring her bio and her music, is gone from the site.
And late Wednesday morning, OK! Magazine obtained the apparent confirmation the music world has been waiting for.
…..A telephone operator told us that Jessica Simpson has now “come off the label.”

Kim Kardashian Responds To Khloe Being Fired By Donald Trump
Posted on 08. Apr, 2009 by CSS.

Kim Kardashian has a thing or several to say about her little sister being booted from the second season of The Celebrity Apprentice after The Donald discovered she had a DUI under her belt.
Has he been living under a rock?
In an entry on Official Blog Tuesday, Kim K. wrote:
Last night Donald Trump fired Khloe!
I was a little disappointed at how she was given the boot! Trump fired her after saying he’d lost respect for her because she previously had a DUI. She obviously made an awful mistake but definitely has taken responsibility for her actions and we are all very proud of her.
She has always been committed to attending her DUI classes and there was no option, she had to go back to LA to go to a class for a day.
I am so proud Khloe made it this far! The reason she got fired had nothing to do with her work ethic or her performance on the show!
I’m glad she’s home!
I have to say I thought it was so out of line what Donald Trump did- I think he is completely justified in feeling the way he does toward her for her having driven under the influence. However, it is out of line to invite her on the show as a contestant only to go off on her and humiliate her for something that had nothing to do with her time on that show. I’m not a huge Kardashian clan fan-but Trumps move got my blood boiling for her!

Columbia Drops Kelly Rowland From Label, "No Longer Commercially Viable"
Posted on 29. Mar, 2009 by CSS.

Kelly Rowland has reportedly been dropped by her record label just two months after firing former manager Mathew Knowles.
Despite the fact that her first two solo albums sold more than four million copies, the “Dilemma” singer has been dumped from Columbia Records because company bosses believe she is “no longer commercially viable” as an artist.
Kelly Rowland shot to fame in 1997 as part of the R&B group Destiny’s Child. The Houston, TX native released her first solo album, Simply Deep, in 2002. It was commercial flop. The LP was followed up by Ms. Kelly in 2008.
Ouch! I have always thought that Kelly is extremely talented but could never stand outside Beyonce’s shadow. It’s a shame that Columbia canned her but maybe the saying will hold true for her, when one door closes another one opens!

Madonna Fires David's Nanny
Posted on 23. Mar, 2009 by CSS.

Madonna’s nanny has been sent packing.
The nanny of the singer’s adopted son David Banda was reportedly told to hit the road immediately after handing in her letter of resignation last week.
“The rumor is that Madonna was furious that Angela was leaving and dismissed her before she had the chance to complete her full notice”
Celebrity tattles tell The Daily Mail that Angela, an Australian child care provider, has been working for the 50-year-old singer in New York and was left distraught after being denied the chance to complete the remainder of her term of employment. But insiders aren’t surprised that the nanny has grown tired of living in the Material Girl’s World.
“All Madonna’s employees work incredibly long hours, so it’s no surprise that Angela had had enough. If you work for Madonna you are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There’s no such thing as a weekend.”
Liz Rosenberg, Madonna’s longtime spokesperson says: “I do not comment on household issues but I can assure you that David and Madonna’s other two children are very well taken care of at all times.”
I think we all can imagine what it must be like to work for Madonna- I’m sure it is no picnic in the park!

Rihanna livelihood could be in danger following the pop star’s unfathomable decision to rekindle her “allegedly” abusive relationship with singer Chris Brown.
The Grammy-winning star’s team of advisors have been alerted that Rihanna is at risk of losing lucrative endorsement deals with popular brands like Gillette, Cover Girl, and Gucci as a result of her controversial reunion with Brown.
“Rihanna’s Gucci campaign hasn’t be renewed, and now it might not be,” an In Touch Weekly insider said on Friday.
