Claire Danes Engaged To Hugh Dancy

Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy have become engaged. Danes, 29, has been dating the British actor for more than a year, reports People Magazine, but if my memory serves, I think it’s been closer to two years. After “breaking up” Billy Crudup and a very pregnant Mary-Louise Parker in 2004, Danes and Crudup dated for about three years.

Allegedly, Danes and Crudup broke up towards the end of 2006, which is around the time she met Hugh Dancy. She and Dancy met while filming the Evening. Danes confirmed her relationship with Dancy the summer of 2007.

Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy will be getting married, a rep for the pair confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

Danes, 29, and Dancy, 33, met while filming Evening in Newport, R.I., and had been dating for more than a year.

The couple recently stepped out at the Screen Actors Guild and Directors Guild awards in Los Angeles.

-From PEOPLE.com

I really like the guy. I saw him first in The Jane Austen Book Club, and he is really cute. The couple currently lives in New York, where they are likely to stay. I just looked up Dancy’s filmography, and I was surprised to learn he was in Basic Instinct 2! Yikes. He’s also the love interest in the film Confessions of a Shopaholic. Congratulations to the happy couple!

The original Tracy Turnblad will replace Sharon Osbourne as host of the third installment of VH1’s Charm School.

Legendary talk show host and author Ricki Lake will attempt to tame a group of out of control reality tv personalities when Charm School 3 with Ricki Lake premieres on the Celebreality website this Summer.

“We are thrilled to have Ricki spearheading this new take on Charm School. Our audience knows her, loves her and respects her. And Ricki certainly knows a thing or two about taking big, loud characters and bringing them to a place of new emotional understanding,” VH1 Executive Vice President Jeff Olde said in a statement Thursday. “The transformation of the women on the show is always an interesting journey to watch, and the new twist on this season should bring the entire experience to a whole new level.”

According to a statement released by HBO on Thursday:

Ricki will not be alone in her quest to help these ladies; she will be flanked with the support of the new school deans Alani “La La” Vazquez (TV Personality) and Stryker (Radio Host). This team’s mission for the new season is not only to teach the ladies about which fork to use, but also to stress the importance of using themselves for good.

Congratulations Ricki!

Tina Fey, 'Bloggers Can Suck It' Acceptance Speech.

Her spot on Saturday Night Live impersonations of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin made Tina Fey 2008’s comic little darling, but not everyone finds the 30 Rock star quite so endearing.

Tina decided to unleash pent-up hostility towards some of her biggest critics-online bloggers-while accepting her award for Best Actress in a Television Series – Comedy at the 2009 Annual Golden Globes live from Beverly Hills on Sunday night.

“If you ever feel too good about yourself, they have this thing called ‘the internet.’ You can find a lot of people there who don’t like you, and I’d like to address some of them now,” Tina began.

She then proceeded to list off the offenders, which included online personalities “dianefan,” “BabsonLacrosse,” and “cougar-letter,” telling them, one by one, that they “can suck it!”

Was it just me or did Tina Fey look like she was fighting back tears the entire night?? She came across out of sorts to me.
