Tom Cruise is just a pint-sized fashion bug. When it comes to head turning fashions, Katie Holmes
enlists the assistance of her movie star hubby.

“Tom has great taste,” the 30-year-old actress says of the 47-year-old in the November issue of Elle Magazine.

Along with being outspoken on Scientology, Tom has also been known to offer up his thoughts on Katie’s apparel.

“He usually likes everything [I wear], but sometimes I’ll walk out and he’ll say, ‘I think that dress might be wearing you. You don’t need that.’”

Katie’s Favorite Designers: “I love Alaïa, for sure. Stella McCartney. I like Ralph Lauren because I feel like it’s very American, and I’m pretty all-American, from Ohio,” Katie said when asked which designers she loves. “Isabel Marant and a new designer, Sari Gueron.”

Katie On Family: “In my own life, my whole world really revolves around family…..I do what I need to do, but it’s like, ‘How is everybody else doing?’ And it’s wonderful for me as an actress to put some of that into a character.”

Katie On Movies: “It can be any genre. I even like vampire movies – they just have to be well done. I want to believe in the characters. The minute it starts to feel not real, I’m not interested.”

michelle williams 'Vogue' www.hometownhollywood.com oct. 2009

Single mom Michelle Williams is struggling to find true love and a balance with the paparazzi following the death of her ex-boyfriend Heath Ledger.

The Brokeback Mountain star had split from the Australian actor months before he died from an accidental drug overdose in January 2008, but has a tough time trying to find a love to replace Ledger’s.

Michelle briefly dated director Spike Jonze earlier this year, a relationship she confirmed has now ended.

“The timing was impossible. I thought falling in love again was the only thing that was going to save me from the pain. This [was an] erroneous idea: It just makes things more complicated,” Michelle says in a new interview for Vogue’s October 2009 issue.

The 29-year-old former Dawson’s Creek star admits she doesn’t know how to date with a child, but she’s OK with that.

“I’m falling more and more in love with her,” she says of her 3-year-old daughter Matilda. “Every time I really miss him and wonder where he’s gone, I just look at her (Matilda).”

“And I think she deserves the bulk of my attention. We’re lucky. I can work. She can go to a good school. There’s a lot there for her. And she can know her dad in so many ways, and so many of his friends who will be able to tell her so many stories. His friends, his family — they were a big part of his life, and they will be a big part of her life.”

Michelle revealed that Heath’s death in January last year brought a heavier paparazzi presence into their quiet existence in trendy Brooklyn.

Michelle has an interesting way of explaining the constantly roving cameras to her young Matilda.

“It’s because people really loved your daddy that they want to take your picture, to know you’re all right….”

In a candid chat with the June issue of Allure Magazine, Jessica Biel laments that one of the things that gets in her way professionally is the same thing that helped make her a household name — her looks.

“Yeah, it really is a problem,” admits the actress — who is promoting the release of her new film, Easy Virtue. “I have to be blunt.”

In fact, Jessica is so desperate to get away from her image as “Just Another Pretty Face,” she had a no-nudity clause written into her contract. (This, of course, came after she stripped down for role as stripper in the upcoming film Powder Blue.) The clause has led her to picking out her own body doubles when bare skin was called for.

“That was a weird experience,”
she explains. “I watched as all these women were coming through, bare-breasted and wearing thongs, and I was trying to put them at ease, saying, ‘Hi, I’m Jessica, thanks soooo much for coming in!’”

“I tried to get breasts that I thought were most similar to mine; I mean, we’re not dealing with a whole lot going on here,” she added. “But a little smaller and perkier in the butt? OK, I did want that.”

Jessica On Her Difficulty Finding Serious Acting Roles That Often Go To Scarlett Johansson Or Natalie Portman:
“I just want an opportunity. If you don’t like the audition, then don’t hire me! But if you don’t want to even see me – that’s hurtful.”

“And why?” the 27-year-old actress continued. “You know nothing about me! OK, maybe you might have seen me in some movie you didn’t like. But… I’m a very 360-person.”

Jessica On Dealing With The Invasion Of Privacy That Comes With Being An Actress: “It’s wonderful to do what I do, but everything that goes with it? It’s bizarre,” says the actress. “The invasion of privacy is very tough. I am followed all day, every day. Going to the dentist, the cleaners. I guess I could look like s*** going to the dentist, but only if I didn’t care what I saw in the papers.”

Is Jessica Engaged To Boyfriend Justin Timberlake? : “I have no idea if I want to get married. I have a lot to do, careerwise.”

Before I read this article I was thinking to myself, ‘Oh great another Hollywood starlet complaining about how pretty she is…’- but after reading her entire interview I feel a higher level of repsect for Jessica-I feel she was completely honest about what it is like for her in Hollywood.

selena gomez-teen-vogue june 2009 www.hometownhollywood.com

Selena Gomez may be best known for her role as the adorable girl wizard on the hit Disney series The Wizards of Waverly Place, but the 16-year-old brunette is eager to embark on a new endeavour as she readies the release of her “pop-rock-techno-inspired” debut album.

selena-gomez Teen Vogue 2009 www.hometownhollywood.com

Selena On Her Upcoming CD: “It’s what I’ve gone through with heartache, friendships, and things like that,” Selena tells the June/July issue of Teen Vogue. “I want my fans to know me a little bit better after they hear this record.”

Selena’s Dream Guy: “I used to say that I wanted someone cute and nice, an actor too, so he’d get it. But now I think it would be good for me to date someone who’s not in the business. Being cool, having a ‘cool’ energy, is just not attractive to me.”

Selena On BFF Demi Lovato: “Demi and I have always been there to support each other. I’ve probably listened to 100 of her songs, and she came to every single taping of my show the first season,” Selena explains. “We’re both surrounded by adults 24/7, and we have to act professional, but when we’re together we can just be sixteen—we watch movies and talk about boys and do each other’s hair and makeup. We both go through a lot, so it’s nice to know that no matter what, I’ll always have her.”

Selena On Her Friendship With Rumored Foe Taylor Swift:
“She has helped me through some really hard times. And the thing I can’t stand about that girl is that she doesn’t even need to dress up and she still looks pretty.”

cameron-diaz vogue magazine www.hometownhollywood.com

In the June issue of Vogue, actress Cameron Diaz opens up about losing her dad, Emilio, to pneumonia last year at the age of 58.

Cameron on The Death of Her Dad: “I think… emotionally, it definitely took its toll,” she said when asked about returning to work after losing her father. “Definitely.”

“It’s the human experience…You know, that’s what the heart does. Things are given to us, and things are taken away. And I think the heart becomes stronger, more capable.”

In her upcoming film My Sister’s Keeper, Cameron plays the mother of two young daughters, one who is dying of leukemia, and another who is suing for medical control of her body.

Cameron on Her Role In My Sister’s Keeper: “This is a woman who does not waver. That’s not something you want to accept about anybody you love – particularly if you are mother,” Cameron says of playing the mother of a dying child. “That’s what I held on to as I was telling her story. You are a parent. You fight to keep your child alive, no matter what it takes.”

jennifer aniston www.hometownhollywood.com Cosmo UK Cover

Jennifer Aniston says that people are “fooling themselves” if they think love lasts forever.

Jennifer comes across to me as a ‘realist’ and she insists that ‘nothing in life last for always.’

In the interview with the June issue of Cosmopolitan UK, Jennifer says:

“I don’t think a perfect relationship exists. But I do think that many of us think it does and we’re just fooling ourselves. Whoever said that everything has to be forever? That’s unrealistic or hoping for too much. I don’t think it’s worth all that pressure.”

Jen added, “People often expect their partner to read their minds, and when that doesn’t happen, they get pretty upset. Then the other person gets even more upset and, at the end of the day, it’s all because they didn’t talk it over at the beginning.”

“I’m still baffled as to why people are so interested in my life,”
the 40-year-old actress explains. “It’s been horrendous at times. I have had to simply move through it and try to think positively.”

I’m not a media outlet that bashes Jen- I really feel the same way she does on a lot of things especially her outlook on relationships-I think she is just more honest about it. It’s a shame that the media portrays her as this ‘Gloomy Gus’ that can’t find love-it’s like they are always trying to make her appear as pathetic as possible- which quite frankly is annoying.

“You don’t have to give birth to someone to have a family. I’m not going to spend two seconds of my life wishing I had something I don’t,It’s hard to do it your way when you hear everyone else telling you to do it their way. I reamed out this idiot girl at some premiere once about this. I had just been talking to a friend who couldn’t conceive, and I saw her pain. And this girl said” — she affects a nasal whine — “‘I’m from Star magazine. Are you pregnant?’ And I went off on her. What if I couldn’t have kids? Do you know what that would make me feel like? I just want people to admit that there’s no one way to live your life. Of course, I don’t know what’s going to happen. I could go home today and go, I haven’t started my period.”

-Sandra Bullock, Harper’s Bazaar Magazine, June 2009.
