Coldplay Free Album Giveaway: "LeftRightLeftRightLeft"

Coldplay will give away copies of their live album, LeftRightLeftRightLeft, at all the shows on their North American tour beginning May 15.
The album — recorded during the band’s live European tour — will also be available via the group’s website.
Here’s what the band’s official website says:
Good Morning. We’re pleased to announce that Coldplay will be giving away a live CD, LeftRightLeftRightLeft, at every remaining live show in 2009 (apart from festival shows). Starting with the band’s first North American tour date, at West Palm Beach in Florida on May 15th, every fan attending a show will be given a free copy of the nine-track CD, which won’t be available elsewhere. Also on May 15th, LeftRightLeftRightLeft will be made available as a free download right here at Coldplay.com, for all fans (and for the same time period).
According to the band, the giveaway is meant to offer gratitude to the fans who have supported them in these tough economic times.
“Playing live is what we love. This album is a thank you to our fans – the people who give us a reason to do it and make it happen.”
This is truly awesome thing they are doing when you think about it- it is a great gesture for their fans! Right on Coldplay!!

Mickey Rourke Punches Jericho Out At WrestleMania 25!

Mickey Rourke made it to WrestleMania after all. The Wrestler actor Mickey Rourke returned to the ring to take on WWE superstar Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 25 on Sunday night–and the outcome was a TKO.
A feud has been brewing between the Oscar-nominated star and Jericho for weeks, with the wrestler calling out the actor’s friends, wrestling legends Ric Flair, Roddy Piper and Ricky Steamboat, at previous WWE events.
Roddy, Rick and Ricky climbed into the ring joined by fellow WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Snuka to defend Mickey, but they were defeated by Jericho before Mickey’s entrance.
The Golden Globe winner then removed his cowboy hat and entered the ring, punching out Jericho during the event at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas!

'Saved By The Bell' Reunion On 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon'

The team at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon is trying to put together a Saved By The Bell reunion in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the teen sitcom.
The show premiered as part of NBC’s Saturday Morning lineup in 1989.
Tough principal Mr. Belding (portrayed by Dennis Haskins) is already on board for the get-together, but Jimmy’s itching to get the rest of the gang–which includes Zack (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), Slater (Mario López), Screech (Dustin Diamond), Lisa Turtle (Lark Voorhies), Jessie (Elizabeth Berkley), and Kelly (Tiffani Thiessen)–to reunite on the Late Night stage.

Actress Hilary Duff, who famously feuded with her Bonnie And Clyde predecessor Faye Dunaway earlier this year, is earning a reputation as one of Tinseltown’s biggest tippers.
Hils never tips fives, tens, or even twenties–oh no–nothing but hundreds will do for the 21-year-old daughter of a former makeup artist, who was often on the receiving end of lousy tips.
Star Magazine spies dish:
After getting her hair dyed and styled at the Byron and Tracey Salon in Beverly Hills, the singer left an extra $200 on top of a $250 bil.
“She slips hundreds to everyone, from valets and restroom attendants to Starbucks cashiers,” says a pal.
Way to go Hilary! I always like to hear about generosity from stars!

Michael J. Fox Coming Back To TV!!!!

On May 7, Michael J. Fox will host Michael J. Fox: Adventures of an Incurable Optimist, a television special featuring the actor speaking to people worldwide about the enduring strength of hope in his quest to promote and learn more about optimism and the human spirit.
The former Spin City star put his acting career on hold in 2000 after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1998. The Michael J. Fox Foundation is now the world’s largest non-profit funder of Parkinson’s research.
“For everything this disease has taken, something with greater value has been given,” Fox says. “So, sure, it may be one step forward and two steps back, but after a time with Parkinson’s, I’ve learned that what is important is making that one step count.”
Michael J. Fox: Adventures of an Incurable Optimist airs Thursday, May 7 on ABC.
I’m so excited for this to air! I love love love Michael and cant wait to check out his new series and be inspired!!

The Great Fabio Viviani On 'ELLEN'

I absolutely adore Fabio and the humor he brought to season 5 Top Chef so I was very happy to see him back in action yesterday on the ELLEN show. Ellen is one of my top 5 favorite people to watch- I thought she was a riot in this clip with the Grand Marnier!

On a sidenote: I was reading an interview Tom Colicchio did for PEOPLE today where he defends the choice of Hosea as the next Top Chef. In the interview Tom details the dishes and the final three contestants but what caught my attention was what he ended the interview with:
“At the end of the day, I would say [runner-up] Fabio [Vivani] will end up doing more than the winner only because of his personality. That’s where the personality comes in. This season, most people are going to remember Fabio.”
I LOVE IT!! Can’t wait to see more of Mr. Fabio Viviani….

New Band 'Tinted Window' Made Up Of: Ex- Hanson, Ex-Pumpkin, 'Fountains of Wayne' Mixed With 'Cheap Trick' Drummer

My interest is definitely peaked on this one…
When you were wearing a Smashing Pumpkins t-shirt while secretly listening to Hanson on your walkman back in the 90s, did you ever expect those two worlds to collide? Former Pumpkins guitarist James Iha, Hanson brother Taylor, Cheap Trick drummer Bun E. Carlos, and Fountains of Wayne bassist Adam Schlesinger have formed a group called “Tinted Windows”:
Take one graying former Smashing Pumpkins ax-man, a Hanson brother-turned-father, a 57-year-old Cheap Trick drummer and the Fountains of Wayne bassist, and what have you got?
Tinted Windows, the music world’s latest, relatively head-scratching supergroup.
That’s right — James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins), Bun E. Carlos (Cheap Trick), Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne) and Taylor Hanson have joined forces as the curiously named Windows. They even have a MySpace page, so it has to be legit.
And while, sure, it may seem like the oddest grouping of musicians ever, a closer look reveals that maybe Tinted Windows aren’t so random after all. Schlesinger and Iha co-own Stratosphere Sound Studios (along with Ivy’s Andy Chase), where Tinted Windows recorded their debut. And back when Iha was in the Pumpkins, they used to cover Cheap Trick songs (most notably “Baby Loves to Rock”) live in concert We’re not really sure where the 25-year-old Hanson brother fits in, but, hey, it’s a supergroup … and since when do supergroups have to make complete sense?

Scarlett Johansson Joining 'Iron Man 2' Cast!

This is exciting movie news for all the Iron Man fans!
Scarlett Johansson will reportedly join the cast of superhero blockbuster Iron Man 2.
The Vicky Cristina Barcelona star is in talks to play Russian spy Natasha Romanoff, AKA The Black Widow, in the upcoming sequel to last summer’s box office hit.
Entertainment Weekly sources claim Scarlett is so interested in the role that she has already met with Iron Man director Jon Favreau and producers from Marvel after inking a deal.
I cannot wait for Iron Man 2!!! Terrence Howard has really gotta be kicking himself now!!

Blink182 Fans Rejoice, Blink182 Working On New Album!!

Please Oh Please let this be true!! I am a major Blink182 fan- their music undeniably ROCKS! So when I read what I’m about to post I just about jumped out of my seat with excitement!
On Thursday, Blink182 fans rejoiced when it was announced that the long-dormant band would be reuniting as presenters at Sunday’s Grammy Awards. While it’s not clear if Blink will be doing anything more than presenting an award, it does appear that there may be more to come from the band.
At least that’s what a member of a Blink offshoot band — Tom DeLonge’s Angels & Airwaves— seems to have confirmed in a chat on the social-networking site Modlife.
On Thursday night, A&A guitarist David Kennedy was fielding fan questions about that band’s new album when, with a few keystrokes, he changed the game entirely, hinting that while Angels might be putting out an album this year, Blink may be, too.
“I’m trying to write a statement about how Angels is all good while Blink is coming back,” Kennedy wrote.
When asked by a fan if that meant Angels & Airwaves were going to be scrapped in favor of Blink-182, he replied, “No sir. … It will be a good creative year and I want to make sure that comes across.”
Then, when asked by another fan to clarify the fact that Blink are coming back, Kennedy wrote “Yeah, putting out a record.”
