Marion Cotillard-Lady Dior Handbag Short Film Ad

Academy Award-winning actress Marion Cotillard — who won as an Oscar for her role as Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose — has landed a glamorous new gig as the ad campaign spokesmodel for the newest collection of Lady Dior Handbags.
The Alfred-Hitchcock-inspired short film features the French actress in the middle of a police investigation that leads her through Paris’s winding streets to the Eiffel Tower.
Check out this preview, before the full film premieres on May 20.

"The Mentalist" Star Owain Yeoman Smoking Hot PETA Ad

That other cute guy from The Mentalist has stripped down to his bare chest for a new ad campaign in cooperation with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Series star Simon Baker may have been voted TV Guide’s “Sexiest Man on TV,” but his castmate Owain Yeoman shows that his abs are a force to be reckoned with in a PETA ad encouraging folks to consider adopting vegetarianism.
Owain, a vegetarian himself, was inspired by his wife Lucy Davis, who had previously posed for a PETA ad.
“I’ve seen how violently animals raised for food are treated, and I don’t want to support that,” Owain’s poster reads.
The Mentalist airs Tuesday nights at 9 PM on CBS.

Audrina Patridge PETA Ad Campaign

Audrina Patridge, star of MTV’s The Hills, has joined forces with PETA by posing in a new ad encouraging animal lovers to adopt furry friends from shelters and rescue groups rather than purchasing from breeders or pet shops.
“I wanted to get involved with PETA because I’ve always been passionate about animals, and I think this is a great way to make people and all my fans aware of all the animals that need a home. And a lot of people go to pet stores and breeders to buy their animals, but you should adopt, so go to an animal shelter and rescue a dog,” Audrina says.
The ad reads: “Buying animals means killing animals… Each year, six to eight million unwanted dogs and cats are turned in to shelters, and half are killed because there aren’t enough good homes.”
Joined by her own rescued pooch, affectionately dubbed Speedy Gonzalez, Audrina also urges pet owners to spay and neuter their cats and dogs to prevent unwanted births.

Is Harry Potter star Emma Watson trading in her Hogwarts uniform for chic threads by Burberry? According to Women’s Wear Daily, the fashion-forward 18-year-old actress has reached a deal to appear as the face of Burberry’s upcoming Autumn/Winter 2009/10 ad campaign.
In other Emma news, the petite blonde will reportedly enroll as a freshman at the prestigious Brown University in Rhode Island this fall.

Hugh Jackman's Wolverine Got Milk? Ad Campaign

How cool does Hugh Jackman look as Wolverine in the latest Got Milk? ad?
The Aussie actor will reprise X-Men role when X-Men Origins: Wolverine opens in theaters May 1.
“My power to regenerate might be top secret but my ability to re-energize is simple. Milk has protein to help build muscle and a unique mix of nutrients to help you refuel. So eat right, train hard and drink lowfat milk. That’s just common mutant sense.”
Wolverine isn’t the first superhero to appear an ad for the nutritional campaign. Batman, Superman, and The Incredible Hulk have also donned milk mustaches.
Check out Hugh’s all-new ad for the Body by Milk campaign, which will debut in Rolling Stone this Friday, April 17.

Kiera Knightly Stars In A Stirring British PSA On Domestic Abuse

Keira Knightley stars as a domestic abuse victim in an public service announcement for the British charity Womens Aid.
The film was directed by Joe Wright, the director of Atonement, with cinematography by Seamus McGarvey, also of Atonement. Over 50 people worked on this PSA, all donating their time for free.
The horrific Rihanna and Chris Brown incident brought the issue of domestic abuse to greater awareness and helped illustrate that anyone can be a victim. Well produced PSAs like this can keep the discussion active and might just save lives. Women’s Aid reminds us that two women die a week in Britain from domestic abuse.
