Mackenzie Philips Book Tell-All Book

Mackenzie Phillips will release a tell-all book about her life through a publishing deal with Simon & Schuster, the 49-year-old actress announced on Tuesday.
Mackenzie, the daughter of John Phillips and stepdaughter of Michelle Phillips, of The Mamas and The Papas, has struggled with a crippling addiction to drugs throughout most of her adult life.
“I’ve always known I would write this book,” says the former One Day At A Time star.
“As the famous daughter of a famous rock star there are plenty tales of trashed hotel rooms, a 301-foot empty swimming pool, drugs (if you hadn’t heard), and off-the-charts hedonism. But ultimately, it’s about the shadow that fell over my life when I was young and full of hope and promise, and how I survived, got clean, and found that the person underneath that gray cloud of drugs and (let’s admit it) bad parenting was pretty okay.”
Michelle’s autobiography is scheduled for release in March 2010.
Could this book be perfect timing to help Mackenzie pay legal bills and fines she accrued after her August arrest, which resulted in Mackenzie being ordered into a drug diversion program by a Los Angeles judge - after pleading guilty to a felony drug charges.
