'Delgo' Worse Wide Release Box Office Opening Of All-Time!

Don’t feel bad if your weekend didn’t include a trip to the theater to check out Hollywood’s latest animated adventure, Delgo–neither did anyone else’s.
The movie broke a record for having the worst opening ever for a film in wide release. Ouch.
According to Yahoo! Movies, Delgo, a reptilian love story voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr., Jennifer Love Hewitt, Val Kilmer, Kelly Ripa, and Burt Reynolds, took in a lousy $511,920 on 2,160 screens over the weekend.
I had a hard enough time just sitting through the trailer!! This movie looks like a computer game…

I wanted to see this film just because of the voice over talent. I mean let’s face it, it is a lot better to just have to hear the likes of Burt Reynolds then have to watch him. Don’t get me wrong, I love the guy, I even have him on my GPS that I got from a place called Nav Tones or something but having him give me directions is fine, watching him act, not my cup of tea!
Anyway, I guess I’m not going to waste my time seeing this film now I have read some reviews on it. Such a shame, must have took years to make!
