Chatty celebrity spies say longtime couple Nicole Richie and Joel Madden will wed on their daughter’s upcoming first birthday.
The couple, who welcomed the arrival of Baby Harlow on January 11 2008, have elected to tie the knot on that date because they want to show their daughter how much they love one another, a tabloid tattle squealed this week.
A friend of the pair tells Star Magazine:
“They want to set an example for Harlow. Nicole and Joel are doing this to seal their love legally. They want the ceremony to coincide with Harlow’s first birthday and be one big joyous occasion for everybody.”
